NBC has introduced a few new dramas in the 2018-19 television season, but only New Amsterdam has scored a second season thus far. The Peacock Network’s latest entry is The Village TV show. Will this homey series manage to bring in the Nielsen households? Will The Village be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
An NBC drama series, The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. I love, love, love The Village! Great cast! Wonderful storylines with real emotions. I love the Enzo storyline with Gwendolina and Gabe really fleshing out what a great character Enzo is to his family and the community. I love the storyline with Nick, Sarah and Katie too and I just love Lorraine Tussant as Patricia, the touchstone for all of the Village “Family”.
Please renew The Village. It is such a great show. The story line is so captivating and the characters are perfectly cast. I enjoy watching it and always feel uplifted after each episode. This show us unique and should definitely be a keeper! It’s nice to watch something that isn’t a fire, medical/hospital, and police plot.
The Village is one of the best shows in a long time why would you cancel it the actors are incredible please bring it back

The village is such a beautiful heartfelt story that I hope will continue to grab viewers. So many new shows get canceled without a chance for people to get interested in them. I’m only one person but I’m trying to spread the word, this show is so perfectly written, each and every character is blossoming in there role. Love the village so much!!!!
