At today’s Starz portion of the TCA Winter Press Tour, CEO Chris Albrecht said that the cable channel is considering a sequel to The White Queen — The White Princess.
According to Deadline, he said, “We’re working with [The White Queen screenwriter] Emma Frost on the stories… We will not have BBC as part of it. We are interested, if the stars align, in a sequel to The White Queen.”
The limited series apparently performed well for Starz but was less successful for the BBC which co-produced. The latter has decided not to continue with the property.
Like the original series, The White Princess would be based on the book by historical novelist Philippa Gregory.

The White Queen was a phenomenal series. One that was quite engaging and highly entertaining. I was so very sad and quite angry over the cancellation of the show. It was a great disappointment!

I would love to see a sequel! The actors costume and direction were all wonderful! I just watched the first episode of the white princess and I am pretty disappointed!
My wife and I love these types of shows and the time frame in which they occur. A sequel a must to have closure on her reign in history. Will be looking for it…

Definitely so a sequel . Loved this show
Please continue this series. The abrupt ending leaves the viewer with no closure. I understand that history continues, but to have made such an investment of ones time and money (I purchased the DVD), it needs to end where the viewer knows the history of the next generation. Such as we all know something of Henry the Vlll. The series is great for demonstrating what the world was like in those times and who the players were.
