It’s hard to know exactly how long it will be before The Young and the Restless TV show is cancelled but, we do know that it won’t be anytime soon. In January 2020, CBS renewed this daytime drama for a staggering four more years, keeping it on the air through the 2023-24 broadcast season — the show’s 51st season. Will it continue to be the highest-rated remaining soap opera? Will it be the last daytime drama standing? Stay tuned.
Premiering on CBS on March 26th of 1973, The Young and the Restless follows the romances, hopes, and fears of the residents of Midwestern metropolis Genoa City. The large cast includes Peter Bergman, Eric Braeden, Sharon Case, Reylynn Caster, Sean Dominic, Melissa Claire Egan, Jacob Aaron Gaines, Camryn Grimes, Mark Grossman, Amelia Heinle, Courtney Hope, Bryton James, Christel Khalil, Hunter King, Christian LeBlanc, Kate Linder, Michael Mealor, Mishael Morgan, Joshua Morrow, Melissa Ordway, Brytni Sarpy, Melody Thomas Scott, Michelle Stafford, Jason Thompson, and Jordi Vilasuso.

Young & Restless is dreary & dreadful. Basically watchable. I only watch to see the females great clothes but that is not enough to keep me tuned in anymore. It’s a dismal fail

I have been a big fan of the Young and Restless for 37 years ,I love this show very much , and yes it may not be what it used to be but it’s still a good show, you can’t replace Bill Bell he is gone but there are plenty of good writers in this country ,fire Josh Griffith, it’s still a good show and everyone on the show does a great job. The Young and Restless is still a good show and I have been watching for 37 years. It’s not what it used to be but it’s still a good show , and people complain to much. Get new writers, cancelling a show is wrong. I love this show and the genre , and if it was up to me soaps would never be cancelled. I lose this show , I’m boycotting CBS. Y&R has become a shell of it’s once fabulous self. I’ve been watching from day one and it’s so hard to watch now. Noah being e-yore over Tessa, again and Mariah and Tessa pouring it on constantly is becoming more gagging. Victor jerking his kids around is just cruel, Nick’s the only smart one. Billy please leave the show at for at least 10yrs and he’s grown into a real man as opposed to a sniffling spoiled rich kid!? I have been watching Y – R for many yrs. The situation with Abby & Chance baby is ridiculous, when contract means nothing. He & Amanda could have their own baby. What about other nationalities not just black & white. You are beating the marriage with Mariah & her lover. Too much lagging, move on to more intriguing, like Phyllis, or Victoria’s conniving Ashland. As far as Victor is concerned tired of seeing
him turning his family against ea. other.
I totally agree with Peggy and I’m not in domestic relations. Where did the writers come up with this story line. It’s destroyed the original plot of the story line. Also please do something about Chance and his support of his family and Abby’s feelings
I am super disappointed with the way the show handled surrogacy by having Devon referred to as ‘Daddy’ and seeking joint custody of Dom. I worked for a domestic relations court for many years and all I can say is that it misrepresents that process and will discourage some people from considering it as a birthing option. You have a platform to reach so many people and to enlighten them about so many social and emotional issues, and yet you fall flat time and again. I bet none of those people picked their close friends as donors or surrogates. That’s an automatic recipe for disaster.
This has been my only Soap for years since the beginning. Now I fast forward 3/4 of the show..story lines are just ridiculous..I forsee ratings are going down fast. Too stupid! I am so sick of Sally, Adam, Chloe, Faith, Moses, Michael, Amanda and her sister. Come on…it used to be great and storyline made sense…now just horrible!!!
The storyline are just so boring…I guess these few episodes of character flashbacks cover for writers block!!! Losing interest!!
