Ratings-challenged Those Who Kill is coming back to television — but it’s not returning to A&E. While the show hasn’t been cancelled, the move isn’t exactly a sign of confidence from the cable channel.
The show revolves around a homicide detective (Chloe Sevigny) and an academic forensic psychologist (James D’Arcy) who work to solve crimes in Pittsburgh. Others in the cast include James Morrison, Omid Abtahi, Kerry O’Malley, Bruce Davison, Kathy Baker, Michael Rispoli, and Anne Dudek.
A&E pulled Those Who Kill from the schedule after two episodes had aired to low ratings. The premiere attracted 3.07 million but the second installment plunged to just 830,000.
On the show’s Facebook page, it was quietly announced that the Chloe Sevigny series will return this Sunday on LMN TV (Lifetime Movie Network). LMN is a sister network to A&E.
The first two episodes will rerun starting at 8pm. Then, new episodes will air starting at 10pm. There are 10 episodes in the season.
While it’s nice that the remaining episodes will air, it’s unlikely that most fans will know they’re being shown. Many cable subscribers may not even know if they have LMN TV. The ratings will surely be terrible.
This move by A&E feels like they’re just burning off the remaining episodes, a sign that the show has essentially been cancelled already.
What do you think? Do you plan on watching the remaining episodes of Those Who Kill? Do you think the show will be cancelled or, is there a chance it could see a second season?
my husband and I love this show and never miss it.
i do like this show hope to see it on tv
Love love this show! Please have second season!!!
An awesome show…intriguing plot and wonderful actors. Seeing Chloe S. Is a treat to watch. Fabulous in this role. Like The Killing. Hope there is another season!
I just watched the season finale, I am hoping it comes back, and how will we know if it does? It is a little dark, but I want to see if she really did something to her dad, he is a bad man!!
Was very disappointed when it left the original cable station after Norman Bates. I am delighted to find it online at LMN (a station not on our cable). I sincerely hope that there will be a season 2. BTW, I have been giving the link to LMN to many people who were looking for it online. We would love to see it back on A&E, and continue with Season 2.
One of the few police shows that feature a woman officer that comes across as a real
officer, not some beauty queen air head with long blond hair ( NCIS as an example).
I hope the show returns to a better network.
The best NEW show all spring, stopped watching A&E since the Duck Dummies and only found this show by accident, but now my favorite to date. Please bring it back!
I love this show. I was very disappointed when they said they cancelled it. I hope it comes back, they can’t just leave us hanging.
Love the show, I hope it continues with another season
I really like this show! I think it definitely should have a second season! Just watched the final episode and it was excellent! You can’t leave us wondering what happened in the house! Did she kill the loser or did he shoot her????? However, I disagree with Lisa Y. There is no better series than Dexter and the Following is one of my all time favorites!
Agree with other comments. Great show that people don’t know about because it isn’t advertised and got moved to a channel most people don’t know they have. Would be a shame to lose this show after only one season.
This show is too good to cancel…thank you LMN for airing it, now please bring it back for season 2
great show should be another season
Just watched the season finale!! It was awesome. I am so glad LMN picked up this show!! I hope it comes back for another season!!
