Nicole Ari Parker is about to meet H.G. Wells. Deadline reports the actress has been cast in ABC’s new series Time After Time.
From Kevin Williamson, the drama stars Freddie Stroma as author H.G. Wells, who travels to the present day to catch an escaped Jack the Ripper (Josh Bowman).
Parker will “play the intelligent and sophisticated Vanessa Anders, a billionaire philanthropist, avid art collector and the current owner of the Time Machine. She will become a trusted ally of H.G. even as she guards the secrets that could change his past and alter his future.”
ABC has not yet announced the premiere date for Time After Time.

Sounds like a train wreck already. Drop Ripper and the billionaire, a Wells time travel would be more interesting without them.
If it isn’t done right(and this is ABC) it will not only be an embarrassment, it will be an unmitigated disaster.
