NBC is sticking with Timeless. Today, the network announced they’ve ordered additional episodes of the new TV series.
The action-adventure drama follows a history professor, a soldier, and a scientist as they travel through time to stop a mysterious criminal. The cast includes Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, Goran Visnjic, and Paterson Joseph.
So far, Timeless has performed well in the ratings, earning an average of 1.43 in the 18-49 demo and 6.093 million viewers. Because of the show’s success, NBC has upped its season one episode count to 16.

Timeless’ is a phenomenal new show that takes the audience emotionally to a completely different place and time each week. We’re thrilled to be ordering additional episodes so that we can run the final six hours of the season in a row with no pre-emptions after the new year. Our hats are off to Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan for producing one of the most ambitious new shows anywhere on television.”

This show including great history tidbits won’t make due to the dumbing down of American youths. We love it but doubt it’ll be renewed Americans don’t want to think but see stupid reality shows. Well the Good Wife survived so you never know.

Love this show, great acting, has the feel of putting me there with the characters and their amazement at being present at these historical moments in the past, all the while their (seemingly) impromptu lines at just GREAT.

Seems like there has been a lot of time travel shows out there this season. But I have to tell you that Timeless is by far the best. I really like this show. The cast has great chemistry and the storyline is intriguing and never dull. Just enough action and suspense. I love the costumes and sets as this team travels through time trying to stop time from being changed and sometimes changing it themselves in the process. Everyone I know – LOVES THIS SHOW! PLEASE RENEW! This is such a unique, fantastic new show that all of my friends & family have been waiting for. When I see the ratings for Timeless, it reminds me of another show that was cancelled after it’s first season and fans were so mad and upset to not have story closure that they then made a movie (with the same cast) to get closure.
