It looks like it’s the end of the line for courier Frank Martin. Transporter: The Series, which aired for two seasons on TNT, has been cancelled and won’t be returning for a third season.
Based on the feature film series, Transporter is an action-adventure TV show which follows Frank Martin (Chris Vance) — a professional “transporter.” He’s paid to pick up and deliver people or cargo from anywhere in the world. The rest of the cast has included François Berléand, Violante Placido, Andrea Osvárt, Charly Hübner, and Delphine Chanéac.
An international series, Transporter aired for two seasons and 24 episodes between October 2014 and February 2015. Airing on Saturday nights, the action series did poorly on TNT in its first season and the numbers were lower in season two.
There’s been no word on the show’s fate in nearly a year. In a recent interview, executive producer Frank Spotnitz said, “I don’t think it’s going to come back, sadly… It did really well in Canada, but I think in France it was shown immediately after the Charlie Hebdo shootings — I don’t think anybody was watching drama, so it was bad timing unfortunately.”
Though he’s been busy with new projects like The Man in the High Castle, Spotnitz love for the series to return someday, saying, “Everything, I do, I have to love it — I can’t fake it! So yeah, I would.”
What do you think? Are you sorry that Transporter: The Series hasn’t been renewed for a third season? Would you like to see it return some day?
Please let there be more seasons and a show for us to be continue to watch. Its sad that I start watching all the seasons and episodes within a month. How good and addicting it was and now sad to find out there isn’t anymore seasons to watch. This is why I hate watching shows.
Love this show. Fantastic scenery. Great action. Was such a shame to kill Dieter at beginning of 2nd season. Loved the banter and comic aspect. Please give us a third season and loads more!!!!!!
Yes I want the series back, is one my favorite, please bringing back, maybe Netflix can take like Heather say, is goooood
Great show to bad TNT did not advertise well. Only found out about it from Netflix. If the word gets out I think the show can be competitive.
great series, it should come back, maybe Netflix can pick it up.
This is a great show. So few are out there to see. At the most, a two hour movie to wrap up all loose ends..
.
Completely bloody-cool-ass perfect SPECTACULAR! I am so sad I didn’t catch it when it came out so I could have supported it by ratings, and now I am a total FAN! I agree with the writer below – BRING IT BACK for 50 more seasons!!!!! Also, Mr. Vance? ALL ALL ALL credits to you and your everything!!! We LOVE JAMES Bond – and WE LOVE YOU! Plus? the music – Rush? Spectacular rendition that kicks me up straight-happy every time I hear it! I’ve loved Rush since 15 in 1985 and it’s still mighty and this is a brilliant MIX… Read more »
I loved this extraordinary exciting show.. They need to bring it back!!!!!!!!!
Great scenery, kick-ass action, loved the European flair. Was happily looking forward to another season. Especially liked that each show stood on its own, no cliffhanger to await a resolution. Please bring back our entertainment.
Wow why would you cancelled a good show
Please have a season 3. This is a great show. I am so wanting to see what happened!!!!!
THIS WAS A GREAT SHOW. THE OPENING IN THE FIRST SEASON HAD THAT JAMES BOND FLAIR. AS A MATTER OF FACT FRANK MARTIN HAS THAT SEAN CONNERY/BOND APPEAL ON SCREEN. THE CINEMATOGRAPHY OF THE OPENING AND THE SHOW WAS FANTASTIC. SOMEBODY PLEASE PICK IT UP. IN TELEVISION TODAY THERE ARE SO FEW GOOD GUYS. I AM OF THE OPINION THAT TNT DID NOT PUSH THIS SHOW HARD ENOUGH. FRANK MARTIN WAS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR. HEY, SPONITZ, TRY PITCHING IT TO FOX.
It is a great series. It has a bit of everything. Bring it back. Have the common sense to wrap it up!!!!
One of my favorite shows. I hope they resurrect this series.
the language & lude scenes were unnecessary; it was a good series without all that. I would like to see it come back but cleaner in content. I had never heard of Chris Vance, but will remember but will certainly remember the name in the future.
