What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the USA Network television channel, the Treadstone TV show stars Jeremy Irvine, Brian J. Smith, Omar Metwally, Tracy Ifeachor, Hyo Joo Han, Gabrielle Scharnitzky, Emilia Schüle, and Michelle Forbes, with Patrick Fugit, Michael Gaston, Shruti Haasan, and Tess Haubrich in recurring roles. Created by Tim Kring and connected to the Bourne film franchise, the show explores both the origin of the CIA black ops program — Operation: Treadstone — and its present-day actions. Treadstone uses behavior modification protocol to turn recruits into nearly superhuman assassins. Sleeper agents across the globe — from D.C. to Berlin to Paris and beyond — as they are mysteriously “awakened” to resume their deadly missions.
Characters include Doug McKenna (Smith), an all-American oil-rig worker; SoYun Pak (Han), a piano instructor, wife, and mother in North Korea; John Randolph Bentley (Irvine), a spy dispatched by the CIA to eliminate a key target; Matt Edwards (Metwally), a CIA operative who has experience hunting down rogue assets; Tara Coleman (Ifeachor), an investigative journalist; Petra (Scharnitzky), a no-nonsense Russian patriot; Ellen Becker (Forbes), a savvy CIA veteran trying to balance the demands of work and family; and a Russian KGB agent (Emilia Schüle) who will stop at nothing to promote the agenda of her motherland.

Telly’s Take
Will USA Network cancel or renew Treadstone for season two? The ratings aren’t great but my sense is that this was a relatively inexpensive series (for an action drama) to produce so I’m leaning toward a renewal. Excellent show.. lots of twists and turns. Fast paced just like Bourne. Hope there is a second season.
Found it one night looking something interesting. I own all four of the Bourne related movies, saw treadstone thought I’d check it out. Great show, had a little trouble following at first, got into the rhythm and watched the whole first season in two nights. Hope they keep it going.
They must have done a very bad job marketing Treadstone in the first place, because I hadn’t even heard of it, and did not watch it until just recently on Amazon Prime, and came across it completely accidentally. I thought it was excellent and I’m hoping they do a second season. This series had a completely different vibe then the very mainstream Bourne. The realness of what actually can and has happened in the mind control arena, as well as the detailed process, was not near as present and understandable with the Bourne series. Keep Treadstone going it’s really great
Yes please bring this show back!!!!!! I can’t get enough and still have the first seasoned DVR’d so that when you bring it back (:)) I can rewatch it to catch up. BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!

If there is anything negative to be said about Treadstone it could be that the back and forth between 1973 and present day doesn’t really work, it gets confusing. Other than that a very enjoyable series that deserves at least another season. 10 episodes is entirely too short for a show to build an audience, many people only recently discovered Treadstone. Looking forward to see more of it!
I just found this show on Saturday and binge watched the entire first season. I am from Canada and saw the first commercial of it yesterday….maybe I didn’t notice it before This show is AMAZING!! Please keep it going….and don’t take too long to launch season 2…..PLEEZZE
