Per Deadline, you can add two more cast members to Showtime‘s Twin Peaks TV series revival. Reportedly, Patrick Fischler and David Dastmalchian have joined the cast of the new Twin Peaks, which should hit Showtime in 2017. Kyle MacLachlan is the only cast member confirmed by the production.
The cast of the 2017 Twin Peaks reboot is also includes: Amanda Seyfried, Naomi Watts, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Laura Dern, Robert Knepper, James Belushi, Tom Sizemore, Miguel Ferrer, Balthazar Getty, Grant Goodeve, Sherilyn Fenn, Sheryl Lee, Larry Clarke, and Caleb Landry Jones.
Lost fans will recognize Fischler as DHARMA security guard Phil, whom Sawyer locked in the closet, in the 1970s timeline. Fischler has also appeared as comedian Jimmy Barrett on Mad Men, and as “the author” Isaac Heller in season four of Once Upon a Time. Fischler worked with David Lynch on Mullholand Drive.
Antman‘s Dastmalchian has recently worked more in film than on TV. He has had guest spots though, on series like CSI: Cyber, Intruders, Almost Human, and Ray Donovan.
Lynch’s Twin Peaks reboot is shrouded in secrecy, so as with the other actors who were not in the original series, there is no information on Fischler and Dastmalchian’s characters.
