NBC has renewed their low-rated summer sitcom Undateable for a second season. Executive producer Bill Lawrence tweeted the news and wrote, “Overexcited to do 2nd season of a Undateable on NBC. #pickedup.”
Undateable follows a group of single friends who are trying to figure out the fine art of relationships. The cast includes Chris D’Elia, Brent Morin, Ron Funches, Rick Glassman, David Fynn, and Bianca Kajlich.
The series debuted in late May to a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.84 million viewers. The ratings declined over the course of the season, falling as low as a 0.6 demo rating with 2.24 million. The season averaged a 0.9 rating with 2.78 million.
While those numbers certainly aren’t good, they aren’t bad if you consider the series aired during the summer — and how poorly NBC’s regular comedy series performed during the regular season.
What do you think? Are you glad that Undateable has been renewed for a second season or, should it have been cancelled instead?
My husband and I Love Undateable!!! It’s the best funniest show on tv at this time!
The cast is fantastic the laughs never stop, it’s edgy and so entertaining!!
And we are in our sixties!! Please renew this show!
please make more seasons!!!! i love this show!!
Love that show hope it stays on the air. reminds me somewhat of Cheers!!!
I think undateable is fresh and fun of laughs. Hope that ir is renewed
undateable is 1 of my favorite shows on TV right now “hilarious” I do not wanted to get cancelled
The character of Justin seems gay, while the gay british bartender comes off more as straight. Why does Justin have to sing all the time? Also he laughs constantly after his jokes.
This is a great show in would hate to see it cancelled it’s funny and has a great cast
This show is steaming hot garbage. Looks like NBC is heading the way of CBS, every show is awful and not funny.
Im so excited Undateable is back for a second season I hope it gets renewed for years to come I love it!!
This show is unwatchable.
