Last season, the Live + same day ratings for Once Upon a Time dropped more 30% on ABC. Can the series recover? It’s tough to attract new viewers when a show like this one has so many characters and such a complex back story. Could this fantasy drama be cancelled or will it be renewed for a seventh season? Stay tuned.
Once Upon a Time follows the continuing adventures of fairytale characters whose tales unfold between their storybook world and Storybrooke, a small town in Maine. This season, the good guys will have to contend with inhabitants from the Land of Untold Stories and the return of the Evil Queen. The large cast includes Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, Josh Dallas, Lana Parrilla, Emilie de Ravin, Colin O’Donoghue, Jared S. Gilmore, Rebecca Mader, and Robert Carlyle. Expected to recur are Beverley Elliott, Raphael Sbarge, David Anders, Jessy Schram, Tim Phillipps, Ingrid Torrance, Peter Marcin, Hank Harris, Sam Witwer, Tzi Ma, Gabrielle Rose, Kristin Bauer van Straten, and Agnes Bruckner.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. 5/11 update: ABC has renewed Once Upon a Time for a seventh season. Details here.
Once Upon a Time is tripe now and I’m someone who’s bee watching since season 1 episode one, you don’t get to tell people that their opinions don’t count just because they don’t like the same things as you anymore. The writing on this show has become farcical and horrible it deserves to be cancelled.
This page has become nothing more than an attackers paradise for Once Upon A Time. The people wanting it canceled are NOT the fans of the show. If you want to see the real fans opinions and thoughts, please head over the the official Renew or Cancel page. People are only wanting it cancelled to benefit their favourite shows. Once Upon A Time is the best show on television by far. Thankyou!
I agree Colby
Yes I agree. I see more people craving renewal, than not on the fan pages, as well as other pages. I love this show. And many of the characters. I will be heart broken if it is canceled.
CANCEL IT, ONCE has become toxic thanks to CS, the show has fallen too far to ever regain it’s foothold.
Once had become lazily, sloppily written trash over the past two years, please don’t drag it on any longer, cancel it now, it’s not worth renewing anymore.
This show will never regain the momentum that it once had, it has fallen too far, the writing is terrible now and put quite simply people aren’t interested in it anymore, it isn’t telling the stories that the majority of the audience first fell in love with anymore, it’s centered around CS which is trash of the highest order, the show has destroyed Beauty and the Beast, it destroyed Swanfire, destroyed OutlawQueen, and destroyed Emma Swan and the continually dropping ratings and new lows this show is hitting almost every single week are proof that the audience does not want… Read more »
I agree
It was so good when snow and charming had a love story. Season 5-6 was when I started to lose interest. It’s not the same anymore. Rumbelle has become an abusive relationship, Regina always ends up in heartbreak, and the characters are just running around all over the place like they don’t know what to do with them.
Honestly I don’t know how to say this or make even the least important Rep for ABC understand how this feels for me. It’s an extremely emotional connection that I have with OUAT. I was at my lowest, a complete and total life shattering nervous breakdown. I could not pull myself up to have saved my life. Then I watched the pilot of OUAT. Something sparked in my lifeless brain. With each episode I became a little more hopeful and in return began to heal. I have been loyally committed to OUAT since the beginning. Because it saved my life… Read more »
I completely agree
The writing for this show is disgusting CANCEL IT QUICK.
PLEASE keep this show going! I WILL DIE without it!!
Cancel it, it’s lost far too many viewers to recover now.
NOT WORTH RENEWING, JUST CANCEL IT NOW.
CANCEL IT, Once is past it and the writing is awful, the worst thing they ever did in this show was pair Emma with Hook.
The show has had six seasons, six years worth of time to prove itself and it’s failed, it could have been so much more but that won’t happen now because it’s losing too many viewers too fast, the show has lost it’s audience and to give it another season would only be prolonging the inevitable, the quality would deteriorate even more and the ratings would fall even more, so just CANCEL IT now, instead of flogging a dead horse for another year.
PLEASE keep it…SO entertaining. An absolute MUST in our household’
PLEASE RENEW THE SHOW!!! It is one and the only that I will actually sit down to watch.
In times like these, I think that this show brings to us some magic and happiness, it is a very good work. No, do not cancel that series, give time to the show and I am sure that the show will gets more numbers. Right now at season six the show seems to reach a critical point. That means that for season seven it will gets new stories with new levels and ideas and it will be cleaned by some unnecessary staffs. We were children, we all hear stories, its good for the new children for our children and for… Read more »
