ANIMAL PLANET’S “THE VET LIFE” RETURNS WITH A WILD VARIETY OF ANIMAL CLIENTELE ALONGSIDE TEXAS-SIZED FAMILY FUN
Season Two Premieres Saturday, April 15 at 10:00 p.m.
(Los Angeles – March 20, 2017) Now that their Texas-based veterinary practice has been up and running for two years, Dr. Diarra Blue, Dr. Aubrey Ross and Dr. Michael Lavigne have established a loyal clientele filled with beloved family dogs and cats, as well as farm animals and rare exotics. In between tending to all these wonderful creatures, the three doctors are fine tuning the tricky balance of work and family life with their wives, kids at home–while lending support to each other along the way. The second season of THE VET LIFE premieres on Saturday, April 15 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
This season on THE VET LIFE, the doctors’ competitive comradery [sic] is in full force as they build and expand the scope of Cy Fair Animal Hospital. After treating an escaped tiger last year, Dr. Ross one ups Dr. Blue again, this time with baby kangaroos. Not to be outdone by his partner, Dr. Blue claims bragging rights when a baby goat and pig are brought into his exam room. Meanwhile, Dr. Lavigne stays above the fray and saves the life of a family mastiff and performs a complicated surgery on a pit mix. On the personal front, it’s finally time for Dr. Ross and his wife Tauvia to move out of his mom’s house and buy a home of their own. Dr. Blue gets inspired by a client to start riding motorcycles again but his passion is put on hold when his brother suffers a serious health issue. Dr. Lavigne and his wife Anne are navigating changes as well as she explores a new career while raising two teenage kids.
The three doctors developed a strong friendship while attending Tuskegee University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and reconvened in Las Vegas where they began their careers and honed their surgery skills. After years of paying their dues, they decided to fulfill their dreams of owning their own practice and set their sights on Dr. Ross’ hometown of Houston. In 2015, Cy-Fair Animal Hospital opened its doors to service the community and their pets. With a combined experience of over 22 years and a shared love of animals, Dr. Diarra Blue, Dr. Aubrey Ross and Dr. Michael Lavigne aim to educate the public about the importance of preventative medicine in order to extend the longevity of the human animal bond.

What do you think? are you a fan of The Vet Life TV series? Will you check out season two on Animal Planet?
This is the best family show I’ve seen in a while. I hope The Vet Life has many more seasons, I can’t wait to watch what happens next.
I really enjoy this program. It’s a nice combination of personal and professional life of a vet. Hope it stays around for a few more seasons.
I enjoy the show very much. You guy are characters but sharp and professional. When you have a gathering it looks like you put together some awesome vittles. Best wishes to you.
I absolutely love this show..educational
entertaining, just a great refreshing
show. PLEASE continue for years. the vets are awesome…
I love this show. I hope they remain grounded ,and let nothing affect there friendship.
I’m an avid watcher of most animal shows (not animal fight shows though). The Vet Life show is absolutely one of the best, addressing human life problems and positive solutions with those of our wonderful animal world. Such a positive program I even stay up until 10:00 pm to watch it It wasn’t on 5/27/17 and I was really disappointed.
Please tell me the show will continue, when, channel and time. (A bit earlier would be great but I’ll watch it whatever time) and a longer season could only make it better.
Love this show! I’ve had animals all of my life and volunteered with several rescues, as a result I’ve interacted with dozens of veterinarians and these guys are some of the best. Not only do they make sure their clients know exactly what is going to happen to their pets and why, but they definitely know their stuff. If I lived in Houston, Cy Fair would be my clinic of choice. I also love the interactions with their families and what a wonderful friendship they all have. It’s like going to a good place at least once a week. I… Read more »
OMG! My family and I are huge fans of The Vet Life!!! The show is so interesting & the cases are complex, but the doctors are all so calm under pressure and they have a great sense of humor! They each seem to be experts in their field. My 3 yr old son looks forward to watching “the animal doctors” each week! We’re expecting many more seasons of the show! Thank you Animal Planet for finding such a great group of young Veterinarian to highlight…Dr. Ross, Dr. Blue, Dr. Lavigne!!! Well done.✔
Not a huge fan. Compared with the other vets on the vet shows, they seem much less competent and more unprofessional. It’s really more about what happens between the guys and their families and it’s so badly staged. I won’t continue to watch. I feel bad for the animals that go there. I feel like their parents want their 15 minutes of fame and don’t care about quality care.
Haters everywhere! Just turn the channel…meantime, they’ve got the RIGHT STUFF!
I love this show! These men are amazing! The time and energy that they put into their patients and owners is considerate and thoughtful and the fact that they are positive African-American role models is a plus as well. So, happy the show is back in rotation.
I totally agree with all the great comments. I don’t have one request; can we get some recipes for all that food? What is in those green beans? Look forward to this show every week; keep up the good work. Thanks so much.
I just wanted you to know I love your show!! I think you guys are really funny and very entertaining at work and at home!! Thanks for sharing your life!!
