Lori Loughlin
Things are not going well for Lori Loughlin. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hallmark has severed all ties with the When Calls the Heart co-star following her arrest.
Earlier this week, Loughlin was arrested by the FBI after being accused of participating in a nation-wide college admissions scheme. The Full House star has been a cast member of Hallmark’s hit series When Calls the Heart since its debut in 2014. Additionally, she stars in the network’s film series Garage Sale Mysteries.
Hallmark Channel released a public statement announcing their separation with Loughlin. The network doesn’t specify if they’ll continue to air the current season of When Calls the Heart but it seems likely that they will. If Heart is renewed for a seventh season, it appears that Loughlin’s Abigail Stanton character will not be a part of it.
Here’s the statement:
We are saddened by the recent news surrounding the college admissions allegations. We are no longer working with Lori Loughlin and have stopped development of all productions that air on the Crown Media Family Network channels involving Lori Loughlin including Garage Sale Mysteries, an independent third party production.”
Update: A Hallmark spokesperson tells us that When Calls the Heart has been pulled from the March 17th schedule. Will future episodes air? “We are evaluating all creative options related to When Calls the Heart series.”

Garage Sale Mysteries is a great show with a talented support cast. I would hate to see it cancelled because of one person’s actions.
Plenty of show have replaced a cast member. They make a few jokes about it in the first couple shows and then we all adapt. Keep Garage Sale Mysteries please. I will miss Lori and feel bad that she used bad judgement but don’t punish everyone else.

Instead of cancelling Garage Sale Mysteries which I think is a big mistake. That’s a great mystery show and wonderful characters, especially Sarah Strange’s Dani. Why not put another actress in Lori’s role. One who would be good is Nikki DeLoach. Why put all of the other actors out of work? And it’s such a terrific series with superb acting, such interesting storylines. Please consider recasting Lori’s role; Nikki DeLoach has some similar characteristics to Lori and is a natural, believable actress. Thank you.

I agree….do NO cancel Garage Sale Mysteries. Maybe replace Lori Laughlin with Tiffani Theissen. She would be a perfect replacement!!

Please bring back Garage Sale Mysteries the best show I love watching it…great wholesome movie and I don’t care what she did it was all for her daughters…she and the cast are awesome…please bring it back…
Please don’t cancel the Garage Sale Mysteries! I truly enjoy this show and Lori is wonderful in this show. If Lori cannot return I would still love to see this show continue.
Grace is nice but she can”t film from prison, unless it’s a reality prison show. They could write her off on a trip or consulting job until it’s decided who to replace her with. The store fill in could be the new sleuth.
Please please please don’t cancel garage sale mysteries! It was one of the best shows that Hallmark has. I would like to see Lori back on it but if not don’t let the cast lose their jobs. It’s not fair for them not to have their jobs with the series. You can recast!

What about showing grace. Every body makes mistakes. God shows us grace I think the network could do the same.
Please keep the mystery series going. I really enjoy Lori in this part, but the rest of the cast are as much fun to watch also. I thought it was premature to cancel. Innocent until proven guilgy, why have you chosen to condemn her??? The series is great, your writers are great, you can write yourselves into keeping the series going.!!! Figure it out, please. The remaining cast deserves more than what you have provided with your actions. Please put it back in your shows to run.
I would like to see Garage Sale Mysteries returned. It’s good entertainment (I love mysteries!) I also think Lori Loughlin should be back as well. There is a nice on-air chemistry with all the actors. Her personal life business should not impact the rest of the cast. Frankly, it seemed like a rash decision to cancel so quickly. Bring it back and don’t be afraid to air re-runs of it.

PLEASE, if you can go on with When Calls the Heart, you can go on with Garage Sale…EVERYONE LOVES this series. The writing is top notch!! Find a replacement! For goodness sake, if a show like Hailey Dean (with horrible acting) can survive, Garage Sale Mysteries can go on with a replacement!!!
Please don’t cancel any of the shows !!!!!!!!!!!!! I love Garage Sale Mysteries , the show is entertaining and fun with a very good cast !!! Don’t punish the people who watch these weekly shows and enjoy them because of something from a person’s past !!! I don’t watch TV based on what a person in the show did in the past ! I don’t know anyone who has not done something that they regret !!! Keep the show and let your ratings tell you how the viewers feel !!!!!
I like Garage Sale and Haley Dean and think both have great acting. Comparing people”s acting is like comparing apples and oranges; each is different with their own beauty and yummy flavor. Sign me as a method actress.
I think Nikki DeLoach would be a good replacement. Agree that they should not cancel GSM – well written and acted. Not sure what you mean about “horrible acting” in Hailey Dean. Agree to completely disagree. Kelly Martin, Viv Leacock are excellent actors and act so incredibly natural w/one another — and the rest of the cast – also strong acting.
I hope they will bring back the Series When Calls the Heart, I have been a faithful follower since the first episode.

I hope that Hallmark will recast Lori’s part in ‘Garage Sale Mysteries’. I love this show, and it would be a shame to make all the other actors lose their jobs due to the problems Lori is having. Didn’t they recast the part of her son in this series? Wasn’t a problem to viewers, so recasting the lead will enable those of us who LOVE this series to keep enjoying our favorite program. I agree 100%. I love the mysteries and the wholesome nature of the characters. I regret that Ms Mc Laughlin has gone down this path, butI enjoy the other characters like Dani.
Yes, its so unfair to the rest of the cast and crew. They even changed the first husband so lets change the mom too ..
I agree with Sandy also. They changed husbands, sons, and even her daughter. So recast someone and keep the mysteries going. I am happy Hallmark cut their ties with Loughlin. All parents want the best for their children but you teach your kids right from wrong. You don’t teach them that money can buy anything.
I agree 100% with Sandy F. But lets kill her off with a car crash over a cliff then her “cousin” from back east comes out and moves in to “take care of the kids” 😉 and start a love interest with Pops 🙂
Another option: She should just be replaced and an actress like Nikki DeLoach would not only be very good in that role, most would not notice too much of a difference with the change in actresses. The husband, son and daughter have all been replaced since the first 2 or 3 episodes. The GSM series should not be cancelled.
