It looks like the reign is over for The White Princess. Recently, star Jodie Comer revealed there will be no season two for the Starz TV show.
A sequel to The White Queen, the historical drama follows the stormy marriage of Elizabeth of York (Comer) to Henry Tudor (Jacob Collins-Levy) during the end of England’s War of the Roses. The cast also includes Essie Davis, Joanne Whalley, Michelle Fairley, Suki Waterhouse, Rebecca Benson, Rhys Connah, Caroline Goodall, Kenneth Cranham, and Vincent Regan.
It’s not a huge surprise that The White Princess is ending with only one season. Its predecessor, The White Queen, was limited to one season as well. However, it remains unclear if there will be a third installment in the Starz historical saga. The series are based on the historical novels of Philippa Gregory and there are several more that detail what happens after the events of The White Princess.

What do you think? Did you watch The White Princess? Do you want another installment?
I started watching The White Princess, then watched The White Queen. I have always loved history and the reign of the Tudor Dynasty. I mean how awesome is it that Lizzie was grandmother to The Virgin Queen?! I hope they do a third installment. I feel like there was so much more they could do after Richard and Teddy were executed. If you like Tudor history, check out The Tudors. It’s what made me fall in love with The War of the roses!!
Enjoyed both White Queen & Princess…why not a season 2??? There is so much to continue with. Very disappointed!!!
I absolutely loved this show. Please say it isn’t so!!!!! There was so much more to tell.
I watched The White Queen and was so please to see that it was pick up with The White Princess,so sad if this series doesn’t continue because it can become as popular as HBO The Game Of Thrones. TheHBO network didn’t want to continue the series but took a chance on the series and now it one of the most popular series ever watched.Staz should take the same chance with this series it will be her a hit.
I have been absolutely enthralled by this series! Please do not say it is canceled. I recorded the series butbwill néed It to continue
I am 53 and lived both series. Very sad that the second season will not happen.
me, too.
Enjoyed the show! Researched actual history and discovered a few events I had been unclear about. I do wish there could be more. Certainly hope Outlander renews through Diana Gabaldon’s last book!!
That really sticks! I love Henry and lizzy finally coming together. I’m sure there’s more stories together tell. Actors and actresses are terrific! What a shame no to continue with this.
Yes and I want more.
I like the show. I am 57 and I loved the show!
Yes..I want a sequel..got caught up in the whole story from the white queen to the white princess..This show brought out every emotion I have in me..It is also the only reason I havent cancelled my Starz subscriotion yet..I was getting ready to when The white Queen caught my interest.
So if you dont come out with something thats not 20 yrs old and that I haven’t seen 20 times then its gone..sorry
This was great hope the rest of the books come to the screen. I have read them all and they are great
Yes! Please continue this series! I watched every show of both The White Queen & The White Princess. They were both well cast with great storylines! I can’t understand why STARZ would make this a limited series. Bad move on STARZ part!! Those of us outside the 18-24 year olds appreciate this type of program as it’s beautiful in it’s locations, costuming, history, acting etc. STARZ if you’re smart at all you will begin making arrangements to film more seasons!! I was disappointed in the way this series ended. It just left you hanging thinking “ok so what’s next”?
I really loved this show. Im sad to see it go.
Princess much better than White Queen. If I have to endure another 2 hours in total of women screaming in childbirth and really? Could Edward VI been that stupid? Of course, 50 years go by and all we see is chilcbirth, whining, sobbing, crying and plotting; usually badly done or incompetant.
I’m a historian and I can tell you the directing of this was an ex soap opera female stage hand’s.
I haven’t watched the end of the show yet, but are you saying that Henry VII ‘s grandson is in the show? Because Edward VI was Henry V III son.
