Lifetime TV series don’t earn the kind of ratings that larger cable and broadcast networks do, but sometimes, they develop a loyal fanbase. Fans of the cabler’s new You TV show shouldn’t have to worry whether it will be cancelled or renewed, because the network picked it up for season two, prior to the series premiere. Will it continue after that, or end there? Stay tuned.
A Lifetime psychological thriller, the first season of You stars Elizabeth Lail, Penn Badgley, Shay Mitchell, Nicole Kang, Kathryn Gallagher, Victoria Cartagena, Luca Padovan, Zach Cherry, and Daniel Cosgrove, with guest star John Stamos. Based on the Caroline Kepnes novel of the same name, the drama centers on bookstore manager Joe Goldberg (Badgley) and aspiring writer and grad student Guinevere Beck (Lail), aka “Beck.” As Joe narrates, it soon becomes clear that this seemingly caring romantic is a dark soul prone to obsession and violence. He will do anything to get what he wants, and boy does he want Beck.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

What do you think? Do you like the You TV series? Should this Lifetime TV show be cancelled or renewed beyond its second season?
12/3/18 update: Lifetime has dropped the series but Netflix has picked up season two.
Just binged watched season one of You.
Awesome season great show. Joes character is creepy yet gripping. Whilst the monologue may to some be boring, I think it adds to the story it’s what makes You different. It’s like a sinister Gossip Girl. Binjis demise had me at the edge of my seat. Peach needed to go. Loving Joes assistant. I’m glad Beck gets to write but the ending blew my mind. 9/10 I want to season two NOW. Give You a chance.
I watched first 2 episodes and found it slow and boring
Love the 1st season. I just wanted the 2nd season Elizabeth Lail to be in it but she isn’t
Loved The 1st season would love to see another season of U
I really enjoyed season one. But in order for me to watch season two I would like to see Joe be a little bit less gullible and maybe a little bit tougher. Also he kind of seems like he stumbles his way through things
I loved you. Was surprised at the ending but would love for it to continue.
You is a good series but Penn Badgley’s voice during the voiceover is becoming very grating on the nerves. He doesn’t have a south voice that you can listen to hours on end.
