As you may have already heard, Zero Hour has been cancelled by ABC after only three episodes. The news doesn’t come as a surprise as the debut represented ABC’s worst scripted premiere in the history of their regular seasons. The numbers for episodes two and three were even worse.
Still, there were at least five million or so people who made a point of watching Zero Hour each week. They’re understandably upset about the cancellation news — as are members of the cast.
Addison Timlin (Rachel): “The end of zerohour brings me great sadness, but every ending is a new beginning and that is always laced with hope. Thank you all, truly.” “What to the world was just 3 episodes was a whole year for us. Truly an honor to know, work with and love you, to everyone on the team. Xo”
Jacinda Barrett (Laila): agreed with Timlin’s second statement and added, “couldn’t have said it better. Xxxx”
Carmen Ejogo (Beck): “In a NY minute everything can change In a NY minute things can get a little strange” “#nomorezerohour I guess that means I can start watching American Idol again. #alwayslookonthebrightsideoflife” “I believe process is often more important than outcome. I had the BEST time making @ZeroHour_ABC with everyone all year, so #noregretsbaby”
Scott Michael Foster (Aaron): “I absolutely loved #ZeroHour and everyone who worked on it. Will miss filming one of the coolest and enjoyable shows I’ve been on.” “To all my wonderful twitter followers, you make the hard part of this job so much easier with your kind words and support. Thank you.”
What do you think? What was your reaction to Zero Hour being cancelled? What did you think of the work of the show’s cast and crew?
I am really disappointed that networks do not give shows like zero hour a chance to catch on. I was really looking forward to the upcoming episodes. It would help if the network did not skip the starting time of these new shows all over the place it is no wonder the viewing public can’t find the show if they are really interested in watching. I want them to bring this show back and give it a chance. This is the second note I have ever written about a show the other show I wrote about was ” Friday Night… Read more »
Marritza you really need to open your eyes up, THIS WAS A KILLER SHOW, DAM GOOD!
You had history, and world war 2, was very cool background about what happened with the show, I guess people these days don’t give a **** about history and its culture. You really needed to think what really went on this show too. This was a very good show.
Great writing; uncharacteristically intriguing plot. Sad we won’t get to see where it was leading us. What killed it? High school drama school overacting, especially glaringly by Edwards. Wow. I had no idea. It’s a good thing he has ER in his bank account. This was the final hurrah for the him.
Aww, I liked the show, and it kept you wondering……I would also buy it on dvd, if it was available!
I wish they let the show run the whole storyline. I liked it. I liked Jerico and the River too. Where can we see the other 7 episodes for the people that want to finish this off?
this show was the talk of the school among teachers and aids-even among our neighbors-was something different—screw those reality shows—I’m that person that will pick an product and not buy it and write that company in protest and tell everyone to do the same -people are fed up with these corporate people –bring this show back !
This is total BS. This was actually an intellectually stimulating show and it’s a shame that it’s cancelled because it doesn’t have enough “sex appeal” or idiots getting drunk every episode. This is a terrible mistake and yet another example of how people cannnot be entertained if the content isn’t raunchy or humourous. Disappointing ABC…
Too Bad was well writen, you had to use your brain to understand, smart TV is just not a ratings getter. will watch when it is on this summer, hope they finish it.
Can ABC at least do it “Harper’s Island” style and give us one final show that wraps up the entire story, so I can at least have a little closure?
I am so tired of the networks chasing some magic number that they don’t give a show a chance!!! I hate all these stupid reality shows-now celebrity wife swap!!!!! Really… How stupid is that? At least this show had some kind of a plot and real actors not some so-called reality stars or wanna be stars!
Sad to see show cancelled, really good premise. ABC dropped the ball on this one again!
We wish we could have seen the remaining episodes. ABC does this quite often, maybe it’s time to cancel ABC!!!
Does anyone know if the remaining episodes will be on ABC online or HULU?
Well this sucks. This was a really good show. And now I will never know where the clocks were leading…blah. If anyone from the cast or crew sees this, let me just say you were putting on a first class production.
It’s a shame. At least Zero Hour was a show with a different story.. not a cop show, not a reality show, not a medical show……. something new and different. Too bad. I liked it. Sorry for the cast.. they did well. Okay ABC …… did it really fail? or was the ratings not in the right age group??????? example….. Kathy Bates’ series Harry’s Law….
The show looked dumb and boring. I’m not surprised it was canceled.
I suppose “boring” is in the mind of the beholder, but “dumb”? No, not dumb.
