TV show supportEpisode 01-01: Friday, 9/23/11
The first episode registered a 1.4 in the 18-49 demographic and 9.45 million total viewers. It was in second place for the timeslot, behind Kitchen Nightmares in the demo. However, A Gifted Man easily won the timeslot in terms of total viewers, attracting nearly as many viewers as NBC, ABC, and CW combined.

Year-to-year, Gifted Man matched now-cancelled Medium’s demo number but improved on total viewership by more than 50%. CBS cancelled Medium with an average 1.4 rating so this wasn’t a great start.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

What do you think? Do you like the A Gifted Man TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a second season?

PLEASE do not cancel this show. It is the best new series in a long, long time. It gets better as it goes along.

I love this show. They shouldn’t cancel it. It’s one the best shows I’ve seen; medical drama, supernatural entities, highbrow culture vs. underdog neighborhood, it has everything plus the plot is very neat and plausible.

My wife and I love the show and would love to see a second series.

Gifted Man is a fantastic show – I look forward to it every Friday night. Please do not cancel it – I love it. You never know what is going to happen until the last minute – very exciting entertainment – better than any show other than Blue Bloods in a very long time.

Gifted Man is a great show. I get together every Friday night with 2 of my friends and we
watch this……good writing, good acting and thankfully no meaningless violence! The entire cast is wonderful and the chemistry amazing!

Please do NOT cancel A Gifted Man..Patrick Wilson is tremendous as the
talented Dr.Holt…and his supporting cast adds to it’s magic…

I really like the show and hope they will give it a chance. Love Patrick Wilson expecially the episode where he sang and played the drums. One of the few good shows in that time slot

I think this is one of the best shows on CBS. It’s well directed and well acted. Being in a 7:00pm time slot on Friday night is almost the kiss of failure. This show can be viewed by the whole family as opposed to almost every other sitcom during prime time. It seems like CBS means Committed to Broadcast Sex! I hope the decision is made to give the series a chance to build an audience.
