HBO still has plenty of warm feelings for their Big Love series. The TV show is doing well and has just been renewed for season five.
Big Love follows the complicated personal life of polygamist Bill Henrickson (Bill Paxton) and his ever-growing Utah family. The cast includes Jeanne Tripplehorn, Chloe Sevigny, Ginnifer Goodwin, Amanda Seyfried, Douglas Smith, Grace Zabriskie, Harry Dean Stanton, Melora Walters, Joel McKinnon Miller, Matt Ross, and Keegan Holst.
The series attracted 1.7 million viewers for the season premiere on January 10th. That represented a nearly 50% increase over 2009′s season three debut. This year, the show has been experiencing a 13% increase over last season, despite some very stiff competition.
Though only four of this season’s nine episodes have aired thus far, HBO is feeling confident that the positive trend will continue. The pay-for-view channel has renewed the show for a fifth cycle of 10 installments.

The producers are currently putting the finishing touches on the last episodes of season four and will then begin thinking about season five.
According to Variety, executive producer Will Scheffer said, “We’re lucky we got another year, as we really were in a place where we didn’t want to end the series. We’re thrilled to take another shot and see where to take the characters.”
Season five of Big Love is expected to begin filming in June or July and will be shown next winter.

the only reason i subscribe to hbo is to watch big love if they cancel the show i will cancel hbo

I love this show. I dont know why, bc everything they do makes me so mad. But its like a car accident you dont want to look, but you cant help yourself. I have gotten so into the characters I love Barb, she is great, nicki gets on my nerves and u gotta love her for always playing the bitch, and margene is so dumb, you just wanna help her. Bill is cute! I just love the show and think u can get a season 6 in there and make it even better! Like barb leaving to take a break and leaving nicki and margene to get along, that would be awesome to see. Just a suggestion!!!
