More stars for Shots Fired. Alicia Sanz, Edwina Findley, Marqus Clae, and Shamier Anderson have been cast in FOX’s new drama pilot, Deadline reports.
The series comes from Brian Grazer and Gina Prince-Bythewood, who wrote and directed Love & Basketball.
Shots Fired will explore “the dangerous aftermath of racially charged shootings in a small North Carolina town.” Findley has been cast as “Shirlane, a reporter covering the shooting.” Meanwhile Sanz will play Paula alongside Clae as a 17-year-old with information on the shooting, and Anderson as “Maceo Terry, a pro football player.”
The four join fellow cast members Richard Dreyfuss, Helen Hunt, Stephen Moyer, and Jill Hennessy.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Prince-Bythewood’s work? Will you watch Shots Fired?
I sincerely hope “The Grinder” will return for another season — its refreshingly funny, smaet, and good family fun!
