NBC is sticking with About a Boy, their new sitcom that airs after The Voice on Tuesday nights. The sitcom has been renewed for a second season.
About a Boy revolves around a songwriter (David Walton) who has a big hit that sets him up for life financially. His carefree world is turned upside down when a charming 11-year-old (Benjamin Stockham) and his single mom (Minnie Driver) move in next door.
The comedy has been perfoming well for the network and is currently their highest-rated comedy. It’s also their third-highest rated scripted series overall, falling behind only The Blacklist and Chicago Fire.

I don’t watch very any sitcoms. I started watching this one because Minnie Driver is one of my favorite actresses. I watch more Netflix than TV because of my schedule. I watched all of season 1 in 2 days. Great show. There definitely should b a Season 2, 3, 4…

With all the crappy reality tv shows America needs a program like this. Although at times can be a touch too corny, this show sends a message to people of all ages that being there for someone; easily impressionable youth; can be fun and fulfilling. On the top of that Dave Walton is very likible in his roll, and both he and Minnie Drivers’ character manage to give an appropriate amount of sex appeal to an otherwise family oriented comedy!!

Me likey. Just started watching in netflix, so I looked to see if it was cancelled since I liked it….hope it does well and stays sweet and clever and endearing.
Great show me and my girlfriend both very happy it will be back for season 2.
