Freeform has introduced a couple of new sitcoms, this season. In addition to Grown-ish, the cable network is also pursuing its target audience with the Alone Together TV show. It centers on millennial platonic friends. Will it appeal to the coveted younger demographic? It’s already been renewed for a second season but could Alone Together still be cancelled? Stay tuned.
A semi-autobiographical comedy starring Esther Povitsky and Benji Aflalo, who created the Freeform TV series with Eben Russell, Alone Together centers on Esther and Benji, who stick out like sore thumbs in image-obsessed Los Angeles. Even though everyone thinks they should be a couple, they only think of each other as friends. Although they always have each other’s back when it counts, they are more apt to bicker and criticize than they are to support one another. Still, at least they’re not all alone — they’re alone together.
Below are the show’s TV ratings, typically the best way to tell if the series will be cancelled or renewed. These figures will be updated as the weeks progress.
