What’s This TV Show About?
A reality TV series competition airing on the CBS television network, The Amazing Race is hosted by Phil Keoghan. It once again features 11 pairs of contestants racing around the world in pursuit of a million-dollar prize. From the starting line in New York City’s Washington Square Park they’ll set out for Iceland, to traverse a canyon above the Geitargljufur River. In all, the racers will visit 10 countries and 21 cities across 29,000 miles, in their quest to cross the finish line.
Racing this time out are: NBA All-Stars Cedric Ceballos and Shawn Marion; Big Brother season 19 couple Cody Nickson and Jessica Graf; musicians Trevor Wadleigh and Chris Marchant; IndyCar drivers Alexander Rossi and Conor Daly; competitive eaters Joey Chestnut and Tim Janus; professional skiers and X Game champs Kristi Leskinen and Jen Hudak; Goat Yoga Instructors April Gould and Sarah Williams; nationally ranked debaters Henry Zhang and Evan Lynyak; Ring Girls and Instagram models Dessie Mitcheson and Kayla Fitzgerald; lifeguards Lucas Bocanegra and Brittany Austin; and twin brothers and firefighters Eric Guiffreda and Daniel Guiffreda. Season 30 Ratings
The 30th season of The Amazing Race averaged a 1.15 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.51 million viewers. Compared to season 29, that’s up by 39% and 37%, respectively. Find out how The Amazing Race stacks up against the other CBS TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Over the years, the ratings have dropped quite a bit, and it took until the May Upfronts for the series to eke out a 30th cycle renewal. Still, I’d think if the network was ready to let it go, they’d already know that, and would capitalize on a “30th and final season racing toward the finish line” marketing campaign. I think that a 31st season will air next season. I’ll update this page with breaking developments but I expect a renewal. Subscribe for free alerts on The Amazing Race cancellation or renewal news.

I looked at the official amazing race web site sign ups tonight and it says they are filming in June 2018 for 25-30 days. Hope they do it, what a great show . Keep it

CBS did the right thing by airing TAR between “Survivor” cycles in it’s time slot….the ratings were good, until they decided to but CBB at 8 and move TAR to 9…..it’s not a 9 (or 10 pm) show, which seems over the years the network decides to put it…..it was a hit when it was a Sunday at 8 show…..ratings dropped a bit when it moved to Friday at 8, but that’s because Friday viewership is always lower, but it was competitive with “Last Man Standing” or “Shark Tank” when it was there. Please do not cancel The Amazing Race! And please put it on a schedule that one can count on, instead of moving it around all the time. When it had a regular place on the CBS schedule, the ratings were higher, as viewers knew when it would start, and what day/time to look for it. Please renew The Amazing Race for Season 31!

I love the amazing race. PLEASEEEEEEE DO NOT CANCEL IT. It’s the only show that I never get tired of watching. It’s a unique show and not boring to watch.
Please do not cancel The Amazing Race. This last one that ended last night was one of the best, kept me on pins and needles. Love everything about this show and I would ask why you would would get rid of this great show and keep some of the junk. Thank You, Joan

Yes, my family an I would love to see Amazing Race season 31.
I hope it is! Love t a r and survivor ! (Not really fan of b b I can take it or leave it) I hope they renew t a r for Atleast 2 seasons or I’d be happy with one. It is so neat to checkout other countries countries/cities/etc (loved Zimbabwe wit the wild animal Safari! So gorgeous!! Just wish cast better players (that’s how many b b we had on there ? Like 6 people ? Still love t. A r though
Hopefully CBS will look at these first 6 episodes ratings when deciding, because the numbers are probably gonna nosedive in February when it’s time slot is pushed back an hour for QCBB (Questionable Celebrity Big Brother).
And they will be showing 2 episodes of TAR each week which means this family show won’t end until 11/10C. Plus, they will be competing with the Olympics with 4 of those episodes.
I do think they’ve proven that their is still a strong audience for TAR if they’ll just give it half a chance…
