ACTOR JOHN MICHAEL HIGGINS NAMED AS HOST OF GAME SHOW NETWORK’S NEW SURVEY-BASED SHOW, ‘AMERICA SAYS’ PREMIERING JUNE 18
New Half-Hour Daily Series Challenges Contestants to Match Survey Answers For a Chance at $15,000
SANTA MONICA, Calif. — Game Show Network, the leader in game shows and competitive entertainment, has added actor John Michael Higgins (“Great News,” “Pitch Perfect”) as host of its new survey-matching game show, AMERICA SAYS. The new half-hour series will premiere June 18 at 5 pm ET and will air Monday through Friday.
AMERICA SAYS is a fast-paced studio game show where two teams of friends and family face off to guess America’s responses with fill in the blanks to survey questions covering every topic under the sun. They’ll have to be quick when trying to think of what America says, as time is always ticking and the team with the most money banked after three rounds will head to a bonus round to see if they can guess even more survey responses to win up to $15,000.
Recognized for his iconic roles in films like “Pitch Perfect,” “The Break-Up” and “Best In Show”, Higgins is also known for providing voices for characters in popular animated series “Bob’s Burgers” and Nickelodeon’s “The Legend of Korra.”
AMERICA SAYS is based on a format by Keller/Noll. John Quinn serves as executive producer. Tara Long and Mark Herwick of Entertainment One (eOne) and Dave Noll and Cleve Keller of Keller/Noll serve as executive producers.
What do you think? How do you like the sound of the America Says TV series? Do you plan to check it out when it debuts on GSN?
I will refrain from name calling, but I really want to. Why will he not let the viewers see the final answer on the board. He does it every episode and its frustrating. Is he that egotistical
that he cannot be off the camera to allow the viewers to see all of the answers. I am about ready to quit watching this because of him. Get a new host!
We think your show is rather Bias!!! In all the time it has been on NOT ONE BLACK Family has Won the $15,000??? Very Odd don’t you agree???Rev.
thumbs up for down-syndrome panel
WE LOVE AMERICA SAYS BUT ONE CHANGE, WHENEVER THEY ADD A NEW WORD IN A BLANK PLEASE HAVE THE CAMERAMAN PUT THE CAMERA ON THE NEW WORD.
It would be great, if in the beginning, they could win money instead of points. And that’s why I stopped watching.
I truly believe John Michael Higgins is the best dressed MC on any game show. Love the game but I would tune in just to see what he is wearing. Whoever chooses his wardrobe deserves a rise…….
America says is a very nice game show. The host John Michael Higgins is very funny,
Love America Says Game Show but dislike the way it is portrayed to viewers. The screen sits too far back when revealing the answers. John considers only the contestants and the people in his audience and neglects those of us who watch on TV. How about a screen that lets the viewers know what is going on and gives us-the TV viewers all the answers when they are missed.
I have had the same responses to the show. I often miss the answers when they are revealed–look away for an instant and the screen is cleared. Having said that, I think John is right up there with the best ever, funny, personable, cute, intelligent with his quips, etc., etc. However, I watch it on a basic cable setup and the reruns are too close together to overlook the repetition. I am old with progressing memory issues, but even I can’t watch them THAT often. (smile) I do love the show.
Love the show but the host leaves a lot to be desired. He acts so silly and keeps kicking his leg.
I see that honesty that would help the show’s popularity is not tolerated.
Instead of points it should be dollars. They can work their tail off and wind up with only $250 apiece. Instead of 15,000 should be 20,000 so each one gets 5000. Both teams get to keep the money they have won. Forget the points. I like the concept, but one gets the feeling of cheap producers. Even the losing team should get the money they have earned up to that point. Let’s get some money into the game.
Do not like host. Stiff and not charismatic and kicks leg in air and clasp hands together in robotic movements. Does not seem to be engaged and not funny. Says ooh too much. Sorry
Sorry I know the host is funny and enjoyable to watch. Better than other game shows. He loves his gest, and shows it
With all the work that the 4 contestants do.90% of the end they make $250 A piece. And for all that work $15,000 is a paltry sum compared to other shows. Cheap ass producers ! And of course the four people have to split the measly 15,000.
He also over uses the phrase — ‘WELL DONE’! And at the end, the $15,000 is Rarely won.
Enjoy the show…however, imho I don’t like all the dramatic ballet dance moves by the host throught the show.
Love the host and the show. Too much Family Feud hour after hour after hour. My son even loves the show
and likes to play along as well.
In the beginning he proclaims “A Chance To When 15,000 DOLLARS”— 90% of the time they do not win The 15,000.
Love it!!
Love the show,
