TV show description:
This dramatic series revolves around a well-to-do Boston family. They are reeling in the wake of the chilling discovery that someone in their midst may be a serial killer.
Very successful patriarch Mitchell Hawthorne (Jamey Sheridan) runs a local concrete company and is married to Madeline (Virginia Madsen). They are both very conscious of society and the importance of maintaining appearances.
Following an accident at the construction company, evidence is revealed that links the family to an infamous murderer, dubbed the Silver Bells Killer.
Their Hawthorne’s eldest daughter, Alison Hawthorne-Price (Juliet Rylance), sits on the city council and has decided to run for mayor.
A successful syndicated cartoonist, brother Cam (Justin Chatwin) has a son named Jack (Gabriel Bateman) and they have distanced themselves from Cam’s troubled ex-wife, Sophie (Stephanie Leonidas).
Daughter Tessa (Megan Ketch) is married to a Boston police detective, Brady Ross (Elliot Knight). He’s investigating newly discovered evidence in the serial-murder case.
Prodigal son Garrett (Antony Starr) reappears after 14 years away. That’s about how long it’s been since the Silver Bells Killer last claimed a victim.
As shocking secrets from the past and present are revealed, the family’s mounting suspicion and paranoia threatens to tear them apart.

With a killer taunting them, the Hawthornes look to the police for assistance, but Brady needs Garrett’s help to solve the case. Alison prepares for the election and is rocked by a shocking discovery about her family and the unexpected return of an old friend. Also, as the family gathers for Election Day, they attempt to identify the killer in their midst, but one of them won’t make it

What do you think? Do you like the American Gothic TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I liked the show they could have given it a chance I think.
I wish stop taking off programs I thought this program was excellent
Absolutely devastated this isn’t returning. Great show, with some lesser know actors. It was different and kept us interested. Why do all the good ones get cancelled 🙁
It was just awful, glad it’s gone. Whoever wrote it needs sacking too!
I think it should have remained on. I was enjoying the show
This was an excellent show! Great writing and acting with suspense and intrigue…WHY was it not renewed?! Ugh!
Wish they weren’t cancelled, finally great TV writing! Then it gets cancelled, dammit CBS!
I am very disappointed that this show has been cancelled.
I loved American Gothic! My husband and I watched it from the onset and fell in love with. We were very disappointed that it wasn’t renewed. It needs to return with the same writers and as much of the acting crew as possible to maintain its continuity and intrigue. The mom and the grandson were mysterious and addictive!
I’m rather disappointed that the show was canceled. I enjoyed something different to watch. I would enjoy seeing this decision reversed.
Good show, disappointed it’s cancelled, it could have been given a 2nd season.
Very disappointed u are cancelling, actually had both my boys involved in watching with me. Darn, really enjoyed
It was a good show even though i missed alot of the episodes, vutt i did’nt no about it nor did I see any previews for it. Don’t do channel 2 much. Maybe i can catch the beginning on Hulu
My husband hates the TV and very rarely will watch it. But I had him watch the first episode of American Gothic and he was hooked! So much so that I had to PVR it, and I had to wait son we could watch the series together. The title of the show threw us off a bit, but once we decided to watch it, we absolutely love it! Really looking forward to next season, so please renew it.
Hubby & I absolutely loved this show! Renew! Renew! Renew!
