FX has announced that American Horror Story: Coven, the show’s third season, will kick off on Wednesday, October 9th, at 10pm. The 13 new episodes are currently in production in New Orleans.

This time around, the cast includes Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe, Evan Peters, Taissa Farmiga, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy, Denis O’Hare, Emma Roberts, and Patti LuPone.

American Horror Story: Coven revolves around the secret history of witches and witchcraft in America. More than 300 years have passed since the Salem witch trials and those who managed to escape are now facing extinction. Mysterious attacks have been escalating against their kind and young girls are being sent away to a special school in New Orleans to learn how to protect themselves.
