Last year the Animal Kingdom TV show rose in the Nielsen ratings, so it was in little danger of being cancelled by TNT. Now that it’s back for its fourth season — with something of a twist we’re not allowed to reveal — will the series gain even more viewers? Will Animal Kingdom be cancelled or renewed for season five? A TNT crime drama, Animal Kingdom stars Ellen Barkin as Smurf, head of the Cody crime family, with Shawn Hatosy, Ben Robson, Jake Weary, Finn Cole, and Sohvi Rodrigues. Emily Deschanel joins on a recurring basis as Angela, a recovering addict and former best friend of J’s (Cole) late mother. Season four kicks off with Smurf showing everyone she is in charge. This season also introduces a new group of criminals, who have a surprising connection to the Codys. Guest stars include Gil Birmingham, Leila George, Grant Harvey, Jon Beavers, Lucca De Oliveira, and Rigo Sanchez.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparisons: The third season of Animal Kingdom on TNT averaged a 0.39 rating in the 18-49 year old viewer demographic and 1.306 million total viewers.

Please renew, great show, cant wait for new episodes each week! Great story, and being an aussie myself, its awsome seeing one of our movies and real life being told with so many great actors! Always loved ellen Barkin!
Absolutely bring back, well written show, love it.
I love animal kingdom, I look forward to it every week. Characters are amazing. I’m not crazy about Angela either but it’s not going to make me not watch it. Smurf is a badass women and I think this new lazy generation should see how strong women take charge. Not in a illegal way like smurf but toughen up. And I lived in s. California for 32 yrs. recently moved out of state (hate it) so seeing Oceanside and Cali on tv makes me happy. Please have a season five.
Love the show. Don’t know what will happen without Smurf. But keep it going.

Yes but not with “Angela”. I haven’t liked her in this role from the beginning. She just doesn’t fit the part. Every time I see her in a scene I want to turn away. I am not saying she is not a great actress but just not for this part.

Love this show please don’t cancel it and I am 50 so it does seem that the older we are the more we relate to this show young kids are busy living life 45 and older all we have is memories of being young and wild this show is it keep it running wish you didn’t kill of Smurf. Maybe make it a dream let her recover from cancer give us older people hope..Please
Great Show please don’t cancel! We have continuously watched this series from the first show and I’m 69 and my husband is 77! We matter! We really love this show!
I love Animal Kingdom and I’m not in their viewer section between 18-49. I’m 53 and I have friends my age that love it also. I don’t know why they have to base their ratings on these ages. Do they think people over 50 dont watch tv or is it we are just not worthy of a vote bc I watch alot of shows. Keep this show on.
Keeps me on edge of my seat and the suspense of what grandma Smurf is up to next is awsome!
Is it Tuesday night yet? Great show, great bodies on the guys, (can do without Darren’s sex scenes with his current, scary Smurf (but now know her history)
