TV show description:
This comedic TV series revolves around Doctor George Coleman (Justin Kirk), a top veterinarian with an impressive list of famous animal patients. He works at the Crane Animal Hospital — a very busy New York City veterinary practice where it often seems as if the patients are in charge.
George has an unorthodox style but undeniable gift with animals. Unfortunately, he’s not quite as good relating to humans. Much to his chagrin, George learns that his ex-girlfriend, Dorothy Crane (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), has inherited the family business and is now George’s boss at the practice. Very ambitious, Dorothy shakes up the hospital as she brings order to the chaos and butts heads with George’s animal-friendly administration.
Interestingly, George is probably the most normal of the hospital staff.
Doctor Doug Jackson (Tyler Labine) is a vet who’s also great with animals but is terrible when it comes to romance. Doctor Yamamoto (Bobby Lee) is devoted to his practice, but is equally devoted to gambling and partying with the rest of the staff.
Nurse Juanita (Kym Whitley) is a take-charge woman who has the unenviable task of trying keeping the peace at the hospital. Nurse Angela (Betsy Sodaro) is an enthusiastic, but eccentric animal handler, who marches to the beat of her own drummer.
Doctor Rizzo (Crystal) is a capuchin monkey and George’s closest companion.
Episode #9 — Turkey Jerky
When George’s Mother invites him to Thanksgiving Dinner, George forces Doug and Doug’s dad to join them only to discover there might be sparks between George’s Mom and Doug’s Dad. Meanwhile, Dorothy spends Thanksgiving with Juanita’s family and Angela sets out to distract Yamamoto from calling his wife.
First aired: November 19, 2012 (released online)
