This evening, fans are saying goodbye to the Beauty and the Beast TV show on The CW. Is the time right? Should the series be ending? Should the network have made season five?
On Beauty and the Beast, a beautiful detective (Kristin Kreuk), navigates her evolving relationship with a handsome doctor (Jay Ryan) who becomes a terrifying beast. Others in the cast are Austin Basis, Nina Lisandrello, Nicole Gale Anderson, and Michael Roark.
Loosely based on the CBS series from 1987, Beauty and the Beast has never been a hit show in the ratings. The first season averaged a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.61 million viewers. The second season dropped to a 0.29 in the demo with 800,000 viewers.
In season three, the demo dropped to a 0.23 rating while viewership grew 10%, to 880,000 viewers. The current season averages have hit new series lows, averaging a 0.20 in the demo with 739,000 viewers.
While The CW execs are ready to say goodbye to this show, that doesn’t mean that the series’ fans are necessarily ready. What do you think? Would you have watched a fifth season or, is four seasons enough? If you’ve seen it, are you satisfied with the last episode?

Omg yes this show is my life lol I’m literally obsessed!!! I don’t go gung-ho for many tv shows but this one has me hooked. I absolutely love all of the characters, not just cat & Vincent (although I do madly love Vincent) I cannot believe the shows been cancelled!! I want to know what Paris holds for them, do they succeed in hiding from the world, will cats new colleges recognize her…will their past ever catch up to them…do they have kids?!? Yes absolutely! There’s still soo much more story to be told & so many possible adventures to explore with our fabulous VinCat!
I would be especially happy if Jennifer Levin & Sherri Cooper were to come back, as equal show runners with Brad Kern, as they really understood how to present the VinCat magic that most fans fell in love with, whilst Brad Kern really knew how to deliver dramatic action.
I would also be very excited for a spin off show based on VinCat’s ancestors, Rebecca & Alistair, who were introduced to us in S2!

Les acteurs sont formidables (je suis Kristin Kreuk depuis Smallville) Jay Ryan est tout simplement époustouflant et sexy. S’il vous plait, faites plaisir à tous les fans du monde entier.

I as a viewer would like to know all. I as a viewer have watched all the seasons on Netflix all because I do not have actual tv. I would love a season 5 or even a season 6.. Catherine an Vincent need a happy ever after. They need a life without so many big bad beast. Maybe just simple cases. I would love more seasons, I would love to find out. Please

I love beaty and the beast. It is one of very few TV shows that I watch. I hate to see it come to an end CW should really continue the series. I never really watched TV untill they started the beaty and the beast. I loved the Disney movie of beaty and the beast and to have a TV show of a beaty who is loved and protected by her very own beast makes for the perfect love story. I would definitely watch a 5th season of #BATB not only because it’s my favorite show but also because I feel there are many possible stories that could still be told and new interesting storylines that could be developed! To cancel this show has been a big mistake and I am so upset about it! I really hope a new network will decide to pick up #BATB and give it a new life (and a better treatment)!

I would love a season five and I loved the ending of season four
of course I want that BATB continues with S5, with many other seasons. History is made of love and passion that captures your heart, friendship that makes you realize how important it is to have friends true and faithful, action what enough to put suspens. The cast of BATB is extraordinary, they have an alchemy between them that you won’t find in any tv series. BATB has it all and really deserves new seasons
