Bo has some amazing abilities but unfortunately they didn’t help save her series. NBC has cancelled the Believe TV show after one season.
Believe revolves around a young girl who has special abilities and the adults who are trying to protect her. The cast includes Johnny Sequoyah, Jake McLaughlin, Delroy Lindo, Kyle MacLachlan, Jamie Chung, and Arian Moayed.
The series got off to a positive start, thanks to its premiere airing on a Monday night after NBC’s top-rated show, The Voice. Unfortunately only about 60% of that episode’s audience decided to tune in to watch the second episode six days later.
The ratings kept falling lower each week. This week’s installment of Believe drew just a 1.0 demo rating with 4.33 million viewers. Those numbers were just too low to justify ordering a second season.
On the positive side, it appears that NBC plans to order all of the remaining four episodes.
What do you think? Are you sorry that Believe hasn’t been renewed for a second season?
I liked it! Sure, it needed a bit of fine tuning, but why not fix it instead of just cancelling? BTW, it had some pretty popular competition in that time slot!
It seems every time I find a show I like, the Network Numbskulls pull the plug because it’s not making an instant profit. There have been very few prime time shows in the past several years that I liked or could even tolerate. I loved Alias which seemed to be doing well but was forced to end prematurely. Did Enterprise even make it through 2 seasons? I loved Boston Legal. I enjoyed Last Resort but that was cancelled. It was a big waste of time getting into a show that was not going to run its course. The only 2… Read more »
Many shows of the past which ended up great weren’t in their first season. Too many shows now are given up on to quickly. Bummer.
It appears that any tv show that is uplifting in any way shape or form gets cancelled. Crap (reality shows) filth (pick any program after 10:00 p.m. Including talk shows) and sadistic programming (Criminal Minds, The Following & CSI to name a few seem to be the new norm. Sad but true.
I am so disappointed to hear that the show is being cancelled. This was a wholesome show, that my husband and I looked forward to watching with our kids. I hope that they reconsider and decide to bring it back. Part of the problem with the ratings is the constant changing air times. Please bring it back.
I luv this show whyyyyyyyyyywhyyyyyyyyyy noooooooo
Please don’t cancel my favorite show!!!! It’s the only one I get to watch during the week!!!!
PLEASE BRING BACK BELIEVE SERIES, MY FAMILY AND I LOVE THIS SERIES.. THANK YOU.
This was my new favorite! My daughter and I were excited to watch this together every week and now we have nothing. She and I are devastated!
Think this b.s my family n I sit ever wk to see this show as a family night
I love this show! My husband and I recorded it and looked forward to watching it every week. I hope they will decide to bring it back for another season.
I hated and never watched NBC. I only found out about this show because it was promoted on other channels. I loved it but with more than myself living under roof, and Comcast only giving you the option to record one channel without having to watch it, I have to use On Demand which I’m sure doesn’t count on the ratings. Looks like NBC will be off of my “favorite channels” list and back on to my never watch channels
Who tallies these ratings?? Every time a good wholesome show comes out, it somehow gets cancelled due to “ratings”. Bring this back!! This is an amazing show that actually shows the good in people! Monday night was perfect, but you ruined it by switching it to Sunday! I guess this is what we have now become.. Immorality and violence rule the media..
Please don’t cancel my favorite new show. I love this show. I never notice if a show has ended, but this is a great good family show. Please.
I was so upset when I herd it wasn’t coming on my daughter and I love watching this program it needs to come back on
Believe has to come back its a wonderful serie.. my family and I love it. Please bring it back.
