Bo has some amazing abilities but unfortunately they didn’t help save her series. NBC has cancelled the Believe TV show after one season.
Believe revolves around a young girl who has special abilities and the adults who are trying to protect her. The cast includes Johnny Sequoyah, Jake McLaughlin, Delroy Lindo, Kyle MacLachlan, Jamie Chung, and Arian Moayed.
The series got off to a positive start, thanks to its premiere airing on a Monday night after NBC’s top-rated show, The Voice. Unfortunately only about 60% of that episode’s audience decided to tune in to watch the second episode six days later.
The ratings kept falling lower each week. This week’s installment of Believe drew just a 1.0 demo rating with 4.33 million viewers. Those numbers were just too low to justify ordering a second season.
On the positive side, it appears that NBC plans to order all of the remaining four episodes.
What do you think? Are you sorry that Believe hasn’t been renewed for a second season?
I am not happy at all! This is a great series.. I love it! The networks always do this ! They cancel the good shows and keep all the crap!
Hi
I cannot believe a series as good as this would lose popularity. Wasn’t it advertised enough as I absolutely love this show & from the other posts I’m not alone. I wouldn’t can it maybe just delay releasing a new season. Give it some good advertising & people will follow it. Please don’t give up on it.
So sad! I think the reason it didn’t make it is “Resurrection” was on another channel at the same time. Why do they do that? I was just happy to have a DVR so I could watch one and tape the other. I loved “Touch” too. Bo was such a cute little girl and played the part so well. She only wanted to do good. They will probably put something on in it’s place that has alot of violence. 🙁
I will definitely miss Believe! It’s a shame that they have canceled this great series. They have so many shows that are mindless. I’m just happy Football season is coming soon!
It sad how Nielsen Rating dictates the shows that American people should watch. The new technology for watching television is advancing every day. I understand that people watch few days after airing the show, but unfortunate we live in society that people have 1 or more job to keep up with quality of life. For me , I have to work and go to school to improve myself. I do watch the shows when I can to get for few seconds to have a break from my hectic daily life rituals. I think the studio should re-think there idea of… Read more »
The good shows are getting cancelled and the crap they’re keeping I won’t watch. Pitiful.
Sorry to see this one go, just like Touch, they never keep the good ones
I so agree with the above postings. The garbage tv reality shows that portrays the raw ,sad, disgustings lives of guns, sex and child abuse (toddlers and tiaras and dance moms) live on, why? Do the advertisers only want mindless people to brainwash into buying their products and medications to keep the greedy wall street mongrels rich. KEEP BELIEVE.
Typed this once, guess it was not acceptable for some reason. Why not have opinions cancelled? Just like any decent series.
Had quit watching the big 3 for the same reason I’m going to quit again. They will give years to ridiculous reality shows, but cannot give a new and innovative show advertising or time enough to develop a fan base.
I agree with Jenny–it just plain sucks that “Believe” was cancelled.
Another example why I quit watching network tv. Took a chance on this one because I liked the different subject matter. Guess it is back to HGTV and DIY.
To be honest, I think the “regular” networks suck.
Not too cultured way of expressing an opinion, but heartfelt!!
I love this. Before this show i have been having suicidal thoughts due to nothing to look forward to. If this show gets canceled i wouldnt know what to do probably start cutting myself again.
Can’t believe they cancel this show. I wk nights so I watch it on Demand. The rating of shows better include the people who catch all there shows on demand. I know a lot of people who love this show and DVR the show or watch on demand
I agree with Gail. Such violent and dumb funny shows on today and I like to watch a positive drama. I’ll miss the show and Bo.
Really sorry that Believe was canceled. I looked forward to watching it as it was uplifting and hopeful, with an interesting concept, good plots, acting etc. So much on TV is dark, it was nice to watch something positive.
I think it sucks that Believe was cancelled. It was shaping up to be a great show. But by all means, let’s just put another reality show on or something else stupid like that.
