With Ben and Kate, FOX is hoping for another ratings success for their Tuesday night line-up. Will this sitcom hit the mark or end up being cancelled instead? We’ll have to wait and see.
The first season of Ben and Kate typically airs Tuesday nights at 8:30pm on the FOX network. The sitcom’s cast includes Dakota Johnson, Nat Faxon, Lucy Punch, Maggie Elizabeth Jones, and Echo Kellum.
Below are the TV show’s ratings for the 2012-13 season, the best way to tell if Ben and Kate is going to be cancelled or renewed for season two.

The premiere was in third place in the demo (barely beating the first hour of the DWTS results show) and was in a distant fourth place in viewership. Compared to the season premiere of Glee one year earlier, FOX was down by 48% in the demo and 54% in total viewers. This wasn’t an encouraging start.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

Noooo Fox, please don’t cancel Ben and Kate! It’s a great show – the writing is clever and funny and the actors seem to have great chemistry with each other. I’ve been watching since the beginning and am a loyal fan. I sure hope Fox doesn’t cancel it…I will be so sad…
