Does the thin, blue line which is the Reagan family still stand in the eighth season of the Blue Bloods TV show on CBS? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Blue Bloods is cancelled or renewed for season nine. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we’d like to offer you the chance to rate all the season eight episodes of Blue Bloods for us here.
A CBS family drama, Blue Bloods stars Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Marisa Ramirez, Sami Gayle, and Vanessa Ray. The police procedural centers on the Irish-American Reagans, a multi-generational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement. New York Police Commissioner Frank Reagan (Selleck) leads both the police force and his brood.
What do you think? Which season eight episodes of the Blue Bloods TV series do you rate as wonderful, terrible, or somewhere between? Should CBS cancel or renew Blue Bloods for a ninth season? Don’t forget to vote, and share your thoughts, below.
My spouse and I both love this show. It is our favorite show, that isn’t fantasy like so many shows today.
I have watched the show from day one and with my 27-year-old son until he moved to KC. I love the family dinners and the discourse. Although each member of the family may have different feelings and thoughts, they respect each other’s thoughts and feelings which is refreshing. It also deals with real issues faced by both law enforcement and the public with each episode is handled with aplomb and dignity.
Your description is right on…..the reason I love the show. You just said it better than I did.
I really love this show! I have always enjoyed Tom Selleck’s acting.
It’s the best. A combination of excitement and honesty
I adore this show. Its the best show on CBS. RENEW PLEASE
Maureen
Please don’t cancel this sho2. It’s the best show ever!
Love this show and the messages it gives. We need more shows like this. Keep up the good work.
I will always want NEW seasons of Blue Bloods & my fave tv family, the Reagans. The whole supporting cast is great too. Renew please. Still miss Linda, wish Amy well in new endeavors.
Love the show hope it doesn’t cancel….
Although I am still a big fan of Tom Selleck, the story lines seem to be getting thinner. Being a recovering alcoholic, the constant drinking during every episode does not set a very good example for our young people.
Great point too much drinking
Get real. It is moderation and they do drink coffee also
I’m sorry I don’t agree with you on the drinking, every major show across all the networks has some form of drinking. It isn’t to much in blue bloods at all. It is up to parents to teach there kids right from wrong not TV shows. Blue bloods in NO WAY is setting a bad example for our young people. I am glad that you are recovering that is great, but if the show is hard to watch because of Alcohol then as mean as this may sound I would suggest you no longer watch the TV show and that… Read more »
AGREE! TOO MANY PARENTS CODDLE THEIR KIDS AND/OR ARE IN DENIAL WITH WHAT KIDS NOW-A-DAYS KNOW AND/OR DO!!!! MY Son will be 21 and I had always used shows like this to explain THAT IS HOW DRINKING SHOULD BE! NOT AT PARTIES OR BARS WHERE YPU GET DRUNK & PIT YOURSELF IN HARMS WAY!
Totally agree!!!! They have addressed issues of DUI as well as the drug issue with Nicky being caught with drugs in her car that weren’t hers. She chose to let her friends make the right choice. We should all hope our kid grows up that way and has friends she trusts to do the right thing. Not many shows anymore show a family sitting down for Sunday dinner. It’s unheard of these days and where are the phones at the table? Exactly not there with the children to be distracted by. I feel they show what a family should be… Read more »
Well said.
I agree with this 100%
I am also a recovering alcoholic and feel that the drinking during this show has always been present. They play a typical Catholic family and I do not think the drinking is inappropriate. They are adults who are not alcoholic and are able to drink casually, a luxury that we alcoholics do not have. There is no under age drinking promoted here and I love every show today as much as I have for many years. If it is a trigger for you as an recovering alcoholic, you have the choice to not engage in watching the show.
I stopped drinking 4-years ago. It’s fun to see some of the older shows because now they are new to me. If watching someone else drink hinders your sobriety, you need to work on bolstering the answer to this question…”why did I stop drinking?”. If the answer is REAL, watching someone else drink SHOULDN’T tempt you. If the answer doesn’t feel sufficient to keep you sober, then maybe you aren’t ready to quit…or need an HONEST assessment as to why you quit…..was the wife getting on you about it or was it YOUR idea to quit drinking? You may need… Read more »
I do understand about the drinking aspect. I do not drink and there does seem to be a lot. I still love the show like you.
Love this show!
We love this show; Tom Selleck acting superior!! Great wholesome show
I love Tom Selleck and blue bloods. It is one of the best story lines on tv. Not crazy about Linda leaving, but understand her decision. Please have them put back the prayers before dinner, that makes it real for so many people.
Yes put the prayer back. Don’t know why it was taken out. I believe most Americans pray during meals. I love Tom Selleck and all his work, it’s what drew me into this series to begin with. Love the traditional American values.
This show has been a success because of it’s traditional American Values, including prayer at the dinner table.
I hadn’t noticed that the prayers were out. Why are they out? Political correctness? Hmmmm!!
I have loved Blue Bloods and all of the characters and have followed for years. Love this family but with Linda gone it’s not the same. This show has always been about family, faith and prayer before meals which has made them all stronger. Have just watched the third episode and it’s all gone. The show has lost it’s appeal for me and just not interested in watching anymore. Too many changes.
The first episode was a shock, Bluebloods is literally a part of my family. I wish we could of had opportunity to mourn Linda death with them, but no matter, I still did and am.
I Love the episodes, tonight, Friday 13th, was really outstanding. We need GREAT FAMILY shows to bring those who watch a chance to feel what Families use to do. For instance, having each other’s back, helping others no matter color, ethnicity, religion, who they significant other is , etc. we need this show.
I love BlueBloods, I pray you keep them for more seasons.

Blue Bloods is the best show on TV! The cast is excellent & makes it real. It’s interesting, entertaining & keeps you hooked in during the whole episode. It has good moral values & teaches you a lot about law enforcement. Please bring it back for season 9!
With all of the other poor shows on the tube, this is the one bright star! The writing, the acting and the fact that the viewers are made to feel as if they are a member of the family and the department are the things that should not be dismissed out of hand!
Love Blue Bloods, really disappointed Amy/Linda is gone, but her demise could have been handled far better. Her character, and fans deserved better.
I think we should have been able to say goodbye. It was almost an afterthought. The entire first show should have been her death and funeral.
