Bones is currently airing season 11 on FOX, but fans might be in for “many more” seasons if the new showrunner has his way. Michael Peterson joined the series starring Emily Deschanel and David Boreanz in its fourth season, and now he is the man in charge.
Peterson spoke with Assignment X about the recent crossover episode between Bones and Sleepy Hollow, and he was asked about the series possibly ending this season. He gave an honest answer to that question.
“I want to do it forever. I’ve loved doing it for seven years, I think there’s a lot more story left to tell, and my plan always is to keep going. Eventually, the studio and the network will tell me when I have to stop, but I don’t ever want to stop.”
Earlier this year, Boreanz said that this would be his last season on the series. Could the show go on without Booth? Would you want to watch the series? Tell us what you think.
I love this series please do not delete it!!!! shirley
Loved the show and the Bones and Booth would love to see more with David and Emily wouldn’t be the same without them. Rock on Season 13, 14, 15 ———–etc
I will still watch Bones even without Booth. It would be nice if Boreanz would stay for couple more seasons. If not, a new character could always be added and also get some characters from other shows do a crossover, this will make it more interesting.
Although it would be very different and change some of the dynamics without Booth, I think with the right sensitivity and story line the show could go on for a very long time. I have really missed having new episodes to watch.
Without Booth the show doesn’t work.
It just wouldn’t be Bones without booth. That would END the series!!!
