TV show description:
This political drama TV series revolves around Tom Kane (Kelsey Grammer), the powerful mayor of Chicago. He’s known for getting things done, regardless of the moral cost. Quite simply, he’s the most effective mayor in recent history.
Unfortunately, Kane’s recently been diagnosed with DLB, a degenerative neurological disorder. He can’t trust his memory, his closest allies, or even himself. Determined to remain in charge, Kane conceals the disease from everyone around him — except his neurologist, Doctor Ella Harris (Karen Aldridge).
Those around Kane are too busy with their own lives to notice anything unusual. Kane’s marriage to his wife Meredith (Connie Nielsen) is one of convenience.
Kane’s personal aide, Kitty O’Neill (Kathleen Robertson), has her suspicions but stays silent. Kane’s senior political advisor is Ezra Stone (Martin Donovan), a Yale graduate with a rough edge who remains questionless. State Treasurer Ben Zajac (Jeff Hephner) is too busy cultivating his political ambitions to become the next Governor of Illinois to notice anything out of the ordinary.
Only Emma (Hannah Ware), Kane’s estranged daughter, has a chance of learning his secret.
Episode #18 — True Enough
‘True Enough’ Miller publishes a story that could destroy Kane, but Kane’s biggest threat is Kitty’s alliance with Doyle. As Meredith forms a new relationship, Kane goes to the greatest lengths yet to stay on top.
First aired: October 19, 2012
What do you think? Are you sorry that Boss has been cancelled? How do you think the show should have ended?
Boss is a fantastic series. Kelsey Grammar absolutely slays, with all the current content viewers have to choose from, Power, Billions, Game of Thrones, Homeland, Newsweek and so much more, Boss is missing from the selection of excellent content, appealing story telling and outstanding acting and should be there, holding its on and shining brightly. I sure hope STARZ will bring it back. Intellectual programming is the new face of tv. With all the different options for viewing it would be a lost not to have Boss to watch!
We would love to have Boss come back!! What a great show.. please bring it back
Transfer of power. A new Boss taking over. Kane fighting back. And the old Mayor coming free of his comma to cause problems for both Kane and the heir apparent
Yes, very disappointed. I saw it on Netflix and didn’t even know it existed. Very good. They should continue it somehow.
Excellent show. Why cancel? Very disappointed.
One of the BEST shows on TV!
great series one of the best this year.looking for more soon.kelsey,s great.
Why did Starz cancel Boss? Terrible advertising. Until I browsed Netflix a few months back I never heard of the show. The moment I started watching I couldn’t stop. I watched every episode in one weekend. I can’t believe they cancelled such an amazing show! Please bring it back!! I give BOSS 5 Stars!!!☺☺☺
I find this unacceptable, and truly upsetting that you could cancel a show so brilliant. I was on the edge of my seat, Bring back the boss!
I sure hate the fact that this show (Boss) was cancelled. It was a great show. It was almost like looking into the back widow of City Governments. It was arguably realistic. I found myself talking to the screen. Please bring the show back. I truly miss it along with Magic City. I would rush home to see it even though replays were made available regularly.
I thought the series was great. Truly disappointed
