Despite a valiant effort, The Brave TV show has been cancelled by NBC. In this instance, the 13-episode first season wasn’t a sign of certain cancellation, as a shorter season aways the plan for this series. In November, after some early gains in the Nielsens, the Peacock Network was even touting the show’s ratings, but they later dropped off and weren’t strong enough to score a season two renewal.
An NBC military drama, The Brave stars Anne Heche, Mike Vogel, Natacha Karam, Demetrius Grosse, Noah Mills, Hadi Tabbal, Tate Ellington, and Sofia Pernas. The series centers on Captain Adam Dalton (Vogel) who leads his Special Ops squad on dangerous field missions across the globe. Back in their Washington D.C. headquarters, D.I.A. Deputy Director Patricia Campbell (Heche) oversees the unit which provides support and analysis for Dalton and company.

The Brave cancellation has been confirmed by Deadline, which notes three military dramas premiered on broadcast networks, this year. Although both The Brave and Valor (The CW) were cancelled, SEAL Team was renewed for a second season on CBSCBS.

I cannot believe that NBC cancelled this show. With night school I had to watch it the following day, so my coworkers knew not to talk about it till after I had the chance to watch it. My son and numerous nephews are military and this show was very popular. I hope another network picks it up. It was the first show on NBC that I liked, I only follow 2 others. Very disappointed in NBC’s decision on this.

This is so disappointing. This was the best new show on TV. Great cast, great writing and storylines that kept me on the edge of my seat every week! Leaps and bounds ahead of Seals. I hope NBC corrects this huge mistake and brings this show back. Otherwise, I hope a smarter network picks this up!

Big HUGE Mistake to cancel this GREAT show of our modern heros fighting for freedom….Of all the similar shows on all the major networks NBC really had the edge with this one ….I am retired military and this shows that the Army has elite special forces as well as the Navy…Great cast and writing…PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Totally agree! The Brave was the best of them hands down.
This is one of the most idiotic decisions I have ever seen a network make. The Brave was far better than either of the other two military shows which premiered this season. It was extremely well done with great stories, writing and excellent acting. Shame on the network for making a decision that is clearly opposed to what the public feels. Yet we continue to pay your excessive monthly cable fees.
I sincerely hope this show gets shopped out and becomes a success on a competing network.

Amazon has the series. Very reasonably priced.
I’m stunned by this decision as this show has great stories, writing and acting and is streets ahead of those in the same vein such as Valor and Seal Team.
Networks need to look at what they are doing to TV because slowly but surely they are putting people off with too many shows, poor management of ratings analysis and forgetting what watching is all about from a viewer perspective.
One of the best Military TV series ever. i am in the military and honestly do not care to watch it on TV but this show had me on edge the whole season it was on. Please bring back. Very upset this was canceled.
