A&E has cancelled their crime drama, Breakout Kings after two seasons and 23 episodes. It seems this case is closed.
Breakout Kings follows a squad of U.S. Marshals who make special deals with prisoners to catch escaped convicts. The cast includes Laz Alonso, Domenick Lombardozzi, Brooke Nevin, Malcolm Goodwin, Serinda Swan, and Jimmi Simpson.
The series debuted in March 2011 to a 1.2 rating in the demo with 2.8 million viewers. The ratings declined in later weeks and the first season finale drew a 0.8 rating with 2.01 million.

In March 2012, the second season debuted with a 0.8 rating with 2.11 million. In that episode, many viewers were shocked to see Alonso’s lead character Charlie abruptly killed off. Alonso later told fans that leaving the show was not his idea.
Over the course of season two, the ratings for Breakout Kings further declined, hitting a low of a 0.5 rating with 1.27 million. The finale aired last month and A&E has decided they don’t want a third season.
Of the cancellation, Malcolm Goodwin (Shea on the series) tweeted, “So Breakout Kings is canceled. Thx to all 4 the luv & support over the last 2 seasons! It’s been a fun experience! Much luv! On to the next.”
The news comes soon after co-creator Matt Olmstead was signed to run NBC’s new fireman drama, Chicago Fire.

they should do a season 3 and so on. this show is really addicting and now i have to sit with wanting to know if they turn their backs on him..
This was my favorite TV series besides the walking dead and pretty sue Lloyd was in terminus during the ealing dead but please please please please bring back breakout kings this was my favorite TV show to watch please bring it back and what a cliffhanger
Just finished up the series and Ive got to say one of the best crime-related shows Ive seen!!! I even went in knowing there were only two seasons thinking “oh well I’m sure itll be fine”….WRONG!!! What a cliff hanger to end a series!!! Great characters and great writing, Im really sad they let this one go. But maybe with enough support from viewers this show can be brought back to life. We are in an age of entertainment to make it happen! BRING BREAKOUT KINGS BACK!!!! SOMEBODY!!!!

I has no problem watchin the series after charle was taken out. I’m sorry the series is over. The ending was very bad because it showed that it had a continuum.
You can’t end a show like that! I really felt depressed when I was done with the series , I just need a season 3!
This is Prison Break all over again…either give us more Prison Break or more Breakout Kings or AT LEAST give us closure with a double episode. SERIOUSLY!!!!

Just watched the last episode and what the hell, that’s no way to end a series..
At least make one more episode or 1 final longer episode to give this series a proper ending. This is really a shame couse it is a good series and even when charlie died it was great! Please Netflix pick this up!
This was an Awesome show I would love to see more seasons to see what happened to ray and the others.

I think they should make a season three.Breakout Kings was a very interesting t.v. show i liked to watch.Ive watched so many movies i dont know what else to watch,so if they have the chance to get all the people back together they should make more episodes
I’ve enjoyed this show very much! It was a bummer that Charlie died but they still could have continued on with the show. He WAS a main character but there were many others to spare. The last episode of season two was very interesting and I was eager to see the next episode but come to find out…the show was canceled. PLEASE BRING THE SHOW BACK!!!! That would mean so much!
It really is a shame that they cancel the show, I loved watching it. Ofcourse it was a shame that Charlie died, but it didn’t influence my joy to continue watching. I really liked the aspect of using prisoners as a kind of helpdesk and it was exciting for me to watch. Such a shame…
I’m extraordinarily disappointed about how A&E left Breakout Kings. Charlie dying was a shocker but I was still glued to the screen. The finale being a massive cliffhanger is absurdly frustrating. At the very least, a movie should be the finale.
