TV show description:
This light-hearted comedy follows Bucket and Skinner, two teenagers who’ve been best friends ever since they were in diapers (learning to surf). The beach buddies are as different as night and day but have three common goals; stay friends forever, always be near a beach, and never do anything that requires long pants. Their perfect day includes wicked waves, an epic taco and of course, meeting cute girls.
Bucket (Taylor Gray) is a freshman in high school who spends his days catching waves and working at the local Surf Shop with his best friend, Skinner. He’s also always trying to find ways to impress his longtime crush, Kelly.
Skinner’s (Dillon Lane) a great friend and surfer but often has a knack for getting himself into sticky situations. He’s always looking for the next big adventure, a way to get out of work, and crushable surfettes (girl surfers). He also hates clothes with buttons and loves animal crackers.
Kelly Peckinpaugh (Ashley Argota) is the school’s brains and beauty and the object of Bucket’s crush. Aside from maintaining her reputation at school, Kelly works part-time at the Surf Shop and tries to keep tabs on her smart aleck younger sister, Piper (Tiffany Espensen). Piper has crushes on older boys and uses her smarts to come up with sneaky tricks to get her way.
Aloe (Glenn McCuen) also has feelings for Kelly and is Bucket and Skinner’s hot-headed archrival. Whatever Bucket and Skinner are planning, he’s there to ruin it. Sven (D.C. Cody) is Aloe’s best friend who helps him in his plots but isn’t very bright.
The Surf Shop where Bucket, Skinner, and Kelly all work is owned by Three Pieces (George Back), Bucket’s uncle. He’s a former surf champion and is always trying to impress the ladies.
Episode 26 — Epic Break-Up
Bucket & Skinner head to a rock festival on the wrong bus and accidentally enter a military facility. Elsewhere, Kelly’s prom plans go astray when her old childhood pal shows up and Piper ruins her dress. Guests include: Jennette McCurdy, Patrick Gallagher, Cody Simpson, and Matt Shively. The episodes were aired out of order.
First aired: June 9, 2012
What do you think? Are you sorry that Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures has been cancelled?
My kids love Nick, but this was one show I didn’t let them watch. Talk about stupid! Glad it’s gone.
