The unstoppable team of the Justice League may be coming back to television, according to IGN.
Recently, Cartoon Network Canada posted a message on Facebook that hinted at a reboot for the superhero league that includes Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.
From Cartoon Network Canada:
“We will be premiering a new Justice League series, but not likely until next Fall.”
The message has since been removed and replaced with a statement that says Cartoon Network “can’t confirm any information regarding a potential new Justice League series.”
This news comes after many months of rumors surrounding a Justice League reboot, allegedly titled Justice League Action .
It would hardly be the first time the Justice League has seen a revival on television. Since 1967, the superhero team has been fairly consistently represented on air in either animated or live action form. The last series, Justice League Unlimited, aired on Cartoon Network and ended in 2006 after a run of 39 episodes.
What do you think? Do you want a new Justice League series? What would you like to see in a new series?
Cartoon Network had better not be messing with us… Young Justice and GL:TAS were great and both got cancelled for no reason worth mentioning. Justice league and all the shows leading to it were some of the best animated shows created in the west and should be revived and made in as good or better quality.
Yes, bring a new Justice League for 2016. I grew up watching the Superfriends and love it to this day. It would be awesome to keep the Justice League alive forever!
