These charts incorporate the daily final CBS show ratings (reported by Nielsen) and are sorted by the 18-49 demographic. Network advertisers typically prize those viewers most and so will pay more to reach them. There’s lots of information that the networks take into consideration when cancelling or renewing a TV series but the ratings are the biggest factor. The higher the ratings, the better chance that the show will be renewed. And yes, they take it into account when a show airs on a Friday or Saturday night.

Please do not cancel The Mentalist, or Vegas. These two shows are our favorites. Please, please, do not cancel. Tom and Karen
Las Vegas, with Dennis Quaid, is a refreshing addition to the CBS lineup.
My husband and I count Tuesday a date night because of NCIS, NCIS Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. When Las Vegas did not come on tonight we were really disappointed.
I would like to mention that, putting The Mentalist on Sunday might was a rotten thing to do to those of us who wait each week to watch it. Were you trying to make it fail? My husband and I actually discussed it. Please do Not cancel either of these shows.
Sincerely,
Judy
Has the finale of Vegas aired yet?
Really want Vegas to continue
