Episode 01-02: Thursday, 9/29/11
The premiere had poor numbers and week two did even worse with a 1.5 in the demo and 7.11 million. That’s a week-to-week loss of 29% in the demo. The show was fourth in the timeslot and barely beat CW’s Vampire Diaries. It would not be a surprise if ABC pulled this disaster soon. What is it about the network’s luck with this timeslot?
Season average: 1.8 demo with 7.94 million.
Episode 01-01: Thursday, 9/22/11
This remake certainly isn’t a hit right out of the gate. It attracted only a 2.1 in the 18-49 demographic and 8.76 million viewers. The premiere was in third place for the timeslot and the network’s worst-performing scripted series of the week.
On the positive side, based on the 15-minute breakdown of the ratings, most viewers who tuned in to see the premiere stuck with it for the entire hour. That’s a positive sign for the second episode because the new Charlie’s Angels can’t afford to lose any viewers.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the new Charlie’s Angels TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
The show is horrible. The acting is atrocious and Minka Kelly is a *****.
I want it to be renewed for a second season so desperately!!!! I love the show and the actresses and the actors!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a lot of friends working this show. I hope it get better for all there sakes, It hard for shows to come to Miami to film, so maybe it will get a second chance to get better. Plus needs way better writing and needs to be based off the TV show and not the movie…
I wish you guys luck….
Angela please.. Call it like you see it this show blows bad acting bad script and shallow women who don’t look like they can throw a punch much less take one these strong smart independent beauties like this exist just not on that show try buff or true blood firefly or haywire
Damn Red, I hate to say it but you are right…..
The show CAN DO better if done like the show that was on back in 1970’s.
There’s a possibility in that happening!
The show is OK–it’s not that bad. It could be improved and be a really great show. It needs to be MORE like the “original Charlie’s Angels TV show” AND not like the movie! I believe if it is more like show on TV , then I think it will have possibly a good chance of making it to the “Second Season” of the show. Don’t be like the ones in the movies–be like the ones on the original TV show that was on TV back in the 1970’s. If it done like that, then it may possibly have that… Read more »
I know the acting is bad-but I kind of like this show..I like the fact that Bosley isnt a nerd.
I know it will be cancelled, but I dont think it is that bad
Stopped watching at the 9 minute 16 second mark.
The writing was so bad, I couldn’t go on.
I’m not sure what you all are talking about. I like it a lot so far! My guess is you all can’t stand it when woman are the stars and playing strong and smart characters who happen to be gorgeous as well.. you call it bad acting. !!
you go Angela its a good show and I agree and I am 45 and LOVE the original show. Come on people its NOT 1977 its 2011 move with the times these are the 2011 Angels and also NOT the cheap lets make fun of Charlie’s Angels movie Angels. I love the show !!!!
Here were the problems: 1) There plenty of bad lines that just seemed cliche and not needed. Stories that did not make sense. Your friend gets blown up, but the next day you are out screaming “Bring it On” and chasing down suspects, while fleeing from men in helicopters shooting up your boat house. Also, why did Kate dress up in a maid outift when all she did was kick down a door with her bear foot, WTF? 2) The new angels do not seem to have any intersest outside of the agency except for partying at trendy night clubs, chasing… Read more »
Sorry, it just didn’t work for us. Bad acting, bad script, pretty girls. Not good.
Bad acting. Bad script. Just bad, bad, bad. Kill it while it can still be considered a mercy killing.
Kill this show now. Put us all at ease.
It shouldn’t br renewed for a second show. I loved the original and this new version is horrible. The acting is so bad it is painful to watch.
Acting weak
