NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

I watched Chase and I like the show and the cast. Maybe the tv network didn’t do enough to inform the viewers the changes made to move it from Monday’s to Wednesday’s.
I think that the Chase was the only show we watched on NBC. I would love to see it on another network.
I LOVE Chase. Please bring it back…..It had really great stories that kept me coming back for more.
Chase is a good show to watch, keeps you on your toes. Maybe someone over at TNT, USA, FX, etc. can pick it up. There are some real good shows on those stations, not the same old stuff. How many game shows, reality shows can you watch, their mindless.
BRING CHASE BACK
Chase is a superb show! It actually allows the audience to get into the mind of the criminal with Annie and the team! Also, it’s based in Houston, where I live. I sincerely hope that NBC doesn’t cancel the show. If it ends up cancelled I hope that another network picks it up.

Hey waasnt Southland on NBC and then ended up on TNT and is doing much better?!?!?! I love Chase and I think its a great show but it was doomed to fail on NBC because that network sucks. I really hope it doesnt get cancelled and if it does maybe another network can pick it up. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Please bring back Chase!!! Its hard to watch when its on at the same time as Modern Family but I dvr it and watch it after! I don’t care what night it is on my husband and I will find a way to watch it! Please bring it back 🙂
Really??? Why must me have another reality show. Each week is exiciting and we look forward to watching.
I could not always watch chase on mon or wed because I work 8 on 6 off – overnights. I do get to watch it on Hulu.com and really miss it. I am 35 and this show ranks up there with NCIS for me.
DUMB! That show Minute to Win it with that moron and his frigin retarted hair is a waste of TV air time, I don’t care what the ratings say. That just goes to show you how dumb american society is now. Chase is an amazing show based on a bunch of men and women whom risk thier lives everyday, they show was well written and very well acted. Chase is a great and yet they’re NBC should stand for “The No Brains Channel” no wonder they’re losing they’re audience to cable..Maybe Chase will get a fairer chance on cable, because it certainly isn’t getting it with NBC

My husband and I really like this show. It is the equivalent of a female Tommie Lee Jones in U.S. Marshals. Just because it has not down well in the ratings, the network should try to give it another chance in a different time slot. They have done this for other shows and it has been successful. Don’t cancel this show…PLEASE!
