NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.
What do you think? Will you miss Chase? Why do you think it didn’t catch on?

I love this show!!! Please air the new episodes.
chase is a great show find a time slot with no other big time shows ,maybe 7:00 central time zone please bring this show back do not cancel this great show i love it my wife likes it and my daughter loves it thanks alan
I cannot believe NBC would cancel one of the best action packed shows I’v seen in a very long time. Annie Frost is my HERO. The show has great writing, the actors all had great chemistry. Give this show a chance NBC. My whole family loves this show. PLEASE, PLEASE bring it.
i love this show. when i first say he teasers for it i instantly loved it. it became my fvorite show because there is hardly any good shows set in texas! i think te show just needs a different attitude!
I love this show. Annie Frost kicks ass. The writing is bad ass. My 66 year old mom loves it. She says there is about time they put a tough woman on tv. I think it would work better on Saturday night. There is not a darn thing on tv on saturdays.
I think Chase was a very great show its a shame it has to go.
I loved Chase! Hope they keep it. Maybe they could make some changes that would draw more viewers in to watch.
I love this show! I have already written NBC to complain, not like it’ll do any good….
I am 67-years-old. I loved this show. What is NBCs problem?
Give it a good 2 years! Put it on Saturday or Sunday.
Not everyone on earth goes out on those nights!
Minute-to-win-it? (good God)! Reality shows? (good Lord)!
You are catering to the mindless and ignorant, again!
Do the ‘Deciders’ ever wonder why so many people are going to Internet
or Cable? Think about it!
BRING IT BACK!!!!
Shame on NBC
I can’t believe NBC is cancelling Chase this is the only show on NBC that I actually watch. NBC needs to give the show time to catch on. Switching nights and the holiday schedule is what make for low ratings. If they don’t bring it back then I have no need to even turn to that station anymore. BRING CHASE BACK!!!!
What’s happening to all the great shows! Seriously!!!! Every episode has a fascinating plot. You can’t deny the chemistry among the cast of characters! And although I’m not a “lesbian”, who wouldn’t want to get hunted down by Kelli Giddish aka/Annie Frost and let’s not forget “hottie” Cole Hauser aka/Jimmy Godfrey, he can arrest me anytime! I’m inclined to agree with Michael, put it on USA or move it to Fridays, there’s nothing good on Fridays anyway! I mean really, how many CSI’s and NCIS’s can a person watch! At least this show is refreshing and different. PLEASE GIVE US… Read more »
I love this show!!! Action packed, good stories and good acting. It needs more exposure… Marketing, something!
Come on NBC, this is a great show. Find a way to market the show better.
