NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

Love this show. Do not take it off the air. The character is believable. I think that it might do better if the episodes tied into one another, week to week. Keep it going!

I love Chase. It is one of the best shows that NBC has aired in awhile. It is absolutely ridiculous that it is being cancelled. I looked forward to seeing it every week. Please bring it back.
once again, a network has cancelled a great show! I loved Chase and hate to see it go. I feel that the networks do not give new shows a chance. This is the 4th show NBC has cancelled that I liked and felt if given a chance, they would have become popular. I may just cancel NBC from my tivo all together!
I’m so tired of the good shows being canceled. I have been looking for the show for the last two weeks just waiting on the next episode. The good shows are always being replaced with trash.

Chase is one of my top 3 favorites! The show is well acted and well produced. The reasons for poor ratings would be that NBC put it in crappy time-slots and did a terrible job promoting the show. Bring it back, please!
About time. Worst show on TV. Giddish is a terrible actress and the writers must have been chimps based on the pathetic storylines and character development.
This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard!!!!! Have you lost your mind??? Chase has been replaced by Minute to Win It….What a crock.. Please put them back on. This is the closest thing to 24 I’ve seen on TV since 24 cancelled. I hope you reconsider what you have done. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope this message gets to the proper channels, my family and I hurry to get home from church to watch Chase even though we have it recording on DVR. Nowadays we even have our tenants come down and watch it with us on the big screen. It became a family event loosing the show will be like loosing a part of our family. Please reconsider the show is great and very believable great actors, great writers, does this channel even have any better shows to watch. I think CHASE is a great show. I was hooked from the first episode. I really hope they don’t remove the show from the air. As far as ratings, there are so many shows to watch anymore especially if you have cable/satellite TV. I have to DVR almost everything I want to watch and them view it later. I’m not sure how they get an accurate tally of viewers to determine whether a show is worthy of keeping. I hope they do decide to give CHASE another chance!!!
I absolutely love the show “Chase”. It would be a Damn shame if they took it off the air. I look forward to seeing it every Wed night. I seriously could think of other shows you could cancell before this one. Please reconsider before letting this show go..
Seriously guys, this show is awesome! It’s written well, has some of the strongest female characters in a long, long while and it positively thrilling to watch! Bring the damn thing back for a second season or at least let us see the last few episodes!
Seriously? If I’m hunting on the Internet to find out what happened, it was a great show. Our family all watched and missed it when it couldn’t be found. Bring it back!
I absolutely Love Chase. I Cannot believe NBC would think of getting rid of it. Annie Frost kicks ass. She is my HERO. The show was a must watch for our whole family. PLEASE, PLEASE bring it back. Give Chase a fair chance and give it a good time slot, I bet you the ratings will soar.
