NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

I like Chase. It was pretty good and never missed an episode. If it was to be canceled, PLEASE show the remaining episodes, it’s the least NBC can do.

i do not think nbc gives a show time to catch on i love chase also i really loved cbs Miami Medical which is no longer on!!!! Minute to Win It sucks chase is 10 times better 🙂 🙂

I liked the show for the action and people. To bad you canceled another loved show like so many in the past. I did expect maybe to seeChuck Norris helping out as Walker,Texas Ranger. Also it was hard to follow what day it was on,kept jumping around.

I love this show! I am busy all night on Mondays and Wednesdays, but I watch it online as soon as I have a chance. I love Annie’s character and her chemistry with Jimmy. Actually, I love them all, and I am going to be SO sad if they cancel it.
Chase is a good show. It is too bad that Networks keep trying to get better ratings by changing time slots. Changing time slots always has a bad effect. If they had waited a little longer, the show would have caught on. All the best shows take a while for the audience to find them.
I can not believe this show is being shut down. This is one of my favorites and i am not pleased.

exactly, wtf are you ppl doing. I really enjoyed this show but when you put it up against Modern Family, it’s obviously not gonna do well. Please move it back to monday nite that was perfect or a summer series, even better.
