NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

Please do not cancel Chase! The only problem with the show is the late time slot. Add it to an 8 or 9 PM timeslot and it should do much better. These characters are truly authentic. My family loves the storylines that continue each week into the personal lives of each US Marshalls. This show is truly a treat to watch. Please bring it back!
im from england and been watching chase on my computer its a great show and i really thought it would get a second season,but it seems most americans would rather watch game shows and reality tv.nbc dont have a clue
Well, here we go again. I was afraid of this. I guess ratings are ratings, and the networks have to pay the bills also. Perhaps 8:00. Not much competition at that hour. I personally found CHASE to be a refreshing change in light of the fact that so much of television programming in like-programming: how many law, detective, and tasteless comedies (Modern Families excepted). I actually like these other genres, not the tasteless comedies. Just found the characters and story lines of CHASE to be refreshing and different. Oh well.

OMG, I really like Chase and hope this show will not be cancelled…if it is, I will be very disappointed 🙁 It has great characters and actors, storry lines and suspense……..please bring it back, I miss it!!!!
This show was just getting off the ground, please give it a chance. I can’t take another game show or reality show.

I love Chase! That’s why NBC is losing viewers because it keeps canceling all it’s great shows! NBC if your out there- keep Chase-it’s awesome!!!!

My wife and I are both very upset by this decision by NBC. We loved the show. Yes we also recorded the show and watched it on TIVO but we watch every show recorded. TV is going down hill fast as they continue to pull the plug on good shows and morons that are brain dead are entertained by stupid shows such as Minute To Puke It. Give me a break!!!! We were also huge fans of the Event, Outlaw, and now Chase. We also really enjoyed Forgotten last season. The phrase kill your TV has never been more true.

Why is it they take off the good shows and leave some of the dumbest things on. I will miss watching Chase, I guess I will look to one of the other networks for this time slot. I think you should let us have more opportunites to see this great show.
What a bummer. I loved the characters and the fresh spin on criminal justice. Chase had action and intrigue, suspense and romance along with some potential for in-depth and complicated character relationships. I was never able to watch the original TV airing, but Chase was always the first show I watched online…and the one I looked forward to the most. I’m disappointed that such a refreshing show can’t stay on the air. NBC, if you won’t bring it back, will you at least let us see the remaining episodes from this season online?!
Bring this show back! It was getting better with each episode and our family was really enjoying it. It was the best new show this year by far. What a terrible decision by NBC. It takes time to develop characters and for a show to develop a fan base. This decision was very short-sighted by the network. What a disappointment.
I so agree with you this is the 3rd show I have liked to possibly be canceled. I loved the show from the start and was happy to see some show that wasn’t a reality show or some crazy game show for a change. If Nbc takes this show away i will no longer be watching their channel. Its the only show on their channel i like and watched. I know alot of people who feel the same way I do.
