NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

This blows! This is why I HAVE NOT started watching any new shows. I am sick and tired of getting interested in them and counting the days when they come on, to then find out they have been canceled… or is this case: on a hiatus! Stupid. To all the MAJOR networks out there.. You wont get me suckered into watching ANYMORE new aired shows. Once you finally cancel the ones I do watch… im done. WITH. ALL OF YOU! Premium movie channels have me intrigued. They dont cancel like the major nets do.

The cast and the story line was excellent.
It amazes me how shows that ridicule and belittle contestants are more popular then shows that entertain like this show.
I was slow to watch but dvr’d the shows. When I took the time to watch it, I was hooked.
Riviting, great casting, believable episodes if you are in law enforcement. Most everyone I know in law enforcement believes this to be the most realistic story lines on t.v. Shame it
is not coming back. I’m Really going to miss it.

It is very obvious that the main stream media; ie NBC; is bias against any woman who is a big part of any event; ie TV shows; election candidates; Senators; Governors, ect. I believe the best answer for the general population, is to ignore & ban all products that sponsor NBC television in it’s entirety. The “Minute to win it” is a real bore, and the host is a jerk.
Please bring the show back on, and run all of the ordered segments. (32)

This was a show that my kids and I really enjoyed. There are very few show of this type, that the whole family can watch. If NBC would leave the time slot alone, more people would hear about it and start watching. NBC is once again making a big mistake.
Love Chase, great show. Really tired of these networks creating shows and then shelving them. You get into a show and then its not there the next week. Really irritaing. Lets just not watch any of these network shows and maybe they can rethink their angle.
Replacing Chase with another game show….. Really? What a waste… We will be changing the channel-
If you would stop moving it around it would make it I have been looking for it for 2 weeks now even my search isnt picking up it looks as if it never existed. the show is great and needs more ads to let people know where it went. It’s my favorite show on TV…Love the cast and the stories. Please bring it back!
