NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

I can’t believe that they are thinking about cancelling this show I love it, I think NBC Needs to get there stuff strait. Minute to Win It sucks in comparison. They also canceld Las Vegas and I used to watch it all the time, they left us off with not knowing anything. NBC you are working on loosing alot of viewers of your station if you keep this up. People will just quit watching your station all together.
I really liked the show and I hope NBC decides to keep it. I watched the entire first season and was looking forward to season #2

Umm…CBS wins, not only do they have good shows but they know how to give them a running chance. Perhaps nbc, could get a clue. I love Chase, hope it returns but until then all I will check out from nbc is Chuck and Harry’s Law which are both top rated aside from The Office(which may soon be questionable) and 30 Rock, which still rocks, otherwise all your left with is reality crap which has run its course.
Yes, bring Chase back. It’s one of the only shows on TV worth watching!!

I love watching Chase. I started DVR’ing in from the beginning and would watch it later in the week. I agree that NBC should not cancel it and should give the show a real chance to take off.

Just as everyone has said before, give your series a chance!!! If you believed IN this series enough to put it on the air in the beginning, why aren’t you placing it in the right spot at a given night and KEEPING it there? Most of the problems with (what you call “unsuccessful”) are because you move the shows around at will. No one can find the right night (this ‘ELLEN’.) WHAT! This show is the ONLY 1 hr. long show I watch besides DEXTER. It’s THAT good! Please bring it back! I hate how NBC moves the show around and doesn’t promote it much, almost none what so ever. They took it off the air for a while, then brought it back. This is lame. First, they got rid of LONESTAR, which was an amazing show/cast, after only the 2nd episode!! What kind of crap is that? I would miss Chase if you don’t bring it back on, at least aire the remaining shows
I have a group of shows I watch on hulu, since I am not at home evenings, and Chase was my favorite of the bunch. I really do miss it and I hope they at least post the unreleased episodes on hulu, what’s the down side? I am not sure why the show didn’t catch on, but Annie Frost, I’m sure gonna miss ya!

Good show. I agree with all the previous comments. No wonder NBC is last is rating. Take a good show and put it in lousy time slots, and wonder why it doesn’t get good ratings. Then not wait and let it garner an audience.
