NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

Ireally enjoyed the show. It was well written and scripted. The characters meshed well on the HEAT team. To replace it with a mindless game show is unbelievable!!Hopefully it will be released to DVD.
BRING BACK CHASE! Or at least let us watch the last 5 unaired episodes…
did they think to give it a 2nd chance, like different night?? some nights are full and some nights suck..i love good drama and watched all,til taken off.. i’m hoping tnt will take it,as they did southland,they know good shows good drama,for those of us that are getting tired of alot of reality shows, they seem to have one story line, drinking,sex and of course fighting, that got old..guess some of us don’t count
I WANT CHASE!!! I can’t believe NBC would take it off – what were they thinking????? Our family watched it every week. How many comments here say it’s a great show?! Great acting, interesting storylines (both in the cases they solve and the characters personal lifes). Since it’s still fairly new, why not put it in a time slot where there’s no real competition (like Thursday or Friday).
PLEASE PUT IT BACK ON AND KEEP IT ON.
We loved that show…it had a great cast of interworking characters and interesting story lines. I thought it was one of the better series on tv right now. I’m so tired of reality shows and violence realted shows. Chase was a nice change of pace and just good entertainment. I hope they bring it back.
Chase has been put up against both Monday & Wednesday show lineups against more established shows.
If I were an NBC TV execuctive I would move the Cape from Monday to Wednesday at 9:00 and put Chase on Moday at 9:00.
My husband and I really enjoyed the TV series “Chase”. We like drama shows and with all the reality shows, game shows and dance shows currently on TV there is very few good drama shows. Please bring it back.

I have no doubt in my mind that NBC suits are probally divorced or not in any type of long relationships because they give up so easily.. I am hoping USA would pick up the show and give it some love.. how can a show surive on a few airings.. come on now bring the show back dont give up on them like we dont give up on NBC.. although you guys deserve it…NBC I only watch Chase nothing else until The Event comes back
I watch NBC the least now I know why. Chase is an awesome show! The cast and story line make you look forward to next weeks episode. I DVR it just in case I can’t watch it at that moment, now I will not erase any of them! They do owe it to us viewers to air the last episodes, it makes me feel like they care one bit about us. Chase is a very good show. Sometimes it takes awhile to catch on and should be given a try for a longer time. I know alot of people who watched it and are sorry it’s not on anymore. I’m getting tired of a minute to win it. Give it a break.

I cannot believe NBC is thinking of cancelling Chase. It’s a great show and I don’t what they are thinking… replacing it with a game show!!!! The acting and story line are good and enough of game shows or reality shows……

I know I’m so tired of NBC cancelling my favorite shows. They must not know what a good show is. Outlaw and Chase were the only reason I watched NBC.
