NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

NBC just lost another viewer! I can’t believe they cancelled this show for another insipid game show. Enough of the reality and games shows already, Both my wife and I followed Chase, loved Annie’s character and the plot lines, great scripting and casting. Adio’s to the Peacock!

I really like the show and I am very disappointed to see an end of one of my favorite shows. I watched Chase on line, due to the fact I am in grad school and can only afford internet. The show was raw and gritty.
I finally appreciate a cop drama that portrays female cops as something other than a barbie or women trying to be a man. The lack of notice to schedule changes lost whatever dedicated the show had. Just run the rest of the episodes and see what happens.

Chase was our family’s favorite NBC series……hesitant to invest our interest in any new series because after getting hooked, NBC will dump it!
PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL CHASE !!! It is one of the Better shows on TV…NBC always does this…it’s ridiculous how they have gone so far down in quality shows…I used to ALWAYS watch NBC…but now most of the programs I watch are on CBS…

We watched every episode, it’s a very good show. It’s a shame not enough people caught on. The move to Wed nights threw us off but we had it set on our DVR so we didn’t miss it. They should really give it more of a chance.

Please give Chase another chance – the cast is great! It’s never easy to watch a show when the days change. Run the rest of the episodes and let’s see what hapens.
I love this show! Please don’t cancel it. I look forward to it every week. I have missed it and wondered where it was. It is on the edge of your seat excitement and I think the characters are full of life and interesting. The writers are great!!! They always have a new twist in the plot. GREAT ENTERTAINMENT! I think “A Minute to Win It” is a very shallow television show. The people watching this show must be stupid. They must have terrible lives and want to escape by watching this garbage!!! I am extremely dissapointed that Chase has been taken off the air. My sister & I could not wait to see it every Monday night! We chose Chase over Hawaii Five-O on Monday nights. It worried me when it was moved to Wednesday nights going up against American Idol. I have been an AI fan from the beginning but this season I missed it on Wednesday nights when Chase was playing. I will miss Chase and refuse to watch Minute To Win It in its regular time slot much less in Chase’s slot!
