We all knew it was coming but now the peacock network has made it official. Chase has been cancelled after one abbreviated season on the air and won’t be back for season two.
Chase follows US Marshall Annie Frost (Kelli Giddish) as she heads up the Houston Enforcement & Apprehension Task Force. Annie and her team (played by Cole Hauser, Amaury Nolasco, Rose Rollins, and Jesse Metcalfe) hunt down America’s most dangerous fugitives.
When it debuted in September, Chase scored mediocre ratings at best and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights in 2011, the ratings only got worse and it became the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
In February, NBC pulled the show off the air but wouldn’t say that it was cancelled. Still, we all knew the writing was on the wall. There were five episodes left unaired and last month, the peacock network began burning them off on Saturday nights. If there were any hopes left, the Saturday ratings reports dashed them. New episodes of Chase typically don’t perform any better than reruns of other NBC shows.
The peacock network has now made the cancellation official. Episode 17 airs tonight and the series finale of Chase airs next Saturday night at 8pm.
What do you think? Will you miss watching Chase? Why do you think the series struggled right from the start?

I loved Chase I watched it with my family, it is hard to find a show that you can watch with your whole family and realy enjoy it. My son is 14 and he loved the show.
Do you expect the same people who watch brainless reality shows to appreciate shows like “Chase” ?? We are out here thirsting for good shows. You are losing us, NBC.
Loved Chase and watched every episode. Just looked at the fall lineup and it’s looks like I can guarantee I won’t watch this channel anymore. All the new shows like ridiculous.
terrible to see such az good show not be renewed. it’s true everytime a good show comes out it is cancelled. seems only the reality shows make it. what kind of tv is that! NBC has lost quite a few shows and even worse watchers. i will be one of them.!
Bad scripts and cheesy direction. Unbelievable amount slo-mo camera work.
I think Chase would have stood a CHANCE if one NBC would have PROMOTED it and TWO not stuck it up against a bunch of other shows that are on their second season and have dedicated viewership already, IF YOU DON’T GET THE NAME OUT NO ONE WILL KNOW!!!!!!! GOOD JOB NBC!!!!!!! Way to pluck the feathers from the PEACOCK!!!!!
Reality, reality, reality! Just stop watching TV…they always cancel the Good Shows!
Chase was one of my favorite shows and I will really miss it. NBC has little to offer in terms of good drama. Annie Frost was a great character and she will be missed.
I cannot believe another GREAT show cancelled. TV is getting filled up with these LOSER reality shows, its pathetic!
I will no longer be watching their network either. Good-Bye NBC…..this was a great show…the best NBC had!!
I’m angry, too. I faithfully recorded & watched this show every week. I’m so sick of so-called reality shows. Maybe they should put some of those ratings boxes in homes of halfway intelligent people so that we can have a chance at decent programming instead of crap like Jersey Shore, Bob’s Burgers, or the Bachelor/ette.
I agree completely! There is so much crap out there – this was finally a decent show with great characters and chemistry. I am so bummed, and I wish it would get picked up again!
Why is it great shows like this get canceled, but stupid reality shows about pathetic people who can’t get a date go on and on?
I also am very upset. I love this show and faithfully
watch it every week. I’ll no longer
watch anything on there network.
I’m sick of good shows being canceled.
Can’t believe another great show has been cancelled! Soon we won’t have anything to watch besides reality shows about pregnant teenage mothers or extreme weight loss. Great to know what true entertainment has come to where these people get paid thousands of dollars to be in an episode instead of a person who has honed their acting craft over the years. Again, great decision NBC execs!
I couldn’t have said it better myself! This team is such a good team together! I will miss you!
I’m with everybody else. Sick of NBC getting me to watch a show. Got all involved with Chase and its characters. Then it doesn’t air the shows. Then it cancels the show after one season cancels. Also cancels Law and Order LA. Why don’t they ask me what I watch? I am ready just to watch Law and Order reruns on cable!
